Ran into this several days back at Harvey Norman. I know that there has been other headphones available in this price range that sound better but none of them have the wow factor of cartoon characters attached to the side. I'm sure these would make great gifts for the young ones plus not having to worry about damage especially at this price range.

i bought these on Saturday from Dick Smith Online for $2.50 (white with blue wing design), for what it's worth
Note - these are volume limited and won't go above a "safe" volume for little ones' ears
The safety thing is just the usual parental scaremongering for profit.
Kids are not likely to turn the volume too high. My kids complain when I have the music too loud.
They might do it by accident, but it takes very high sustained volumes to do damage.
It is teenagers you need to worry about. And even then, it is more a worry of walking in front of a truck than hearing damage.
Nightclubs and concerts will do the latter, not so much ear-buds.Thought the graphic on the box said Loser Kids for a second there..
I wouldn't encourage kids to put anything in their ears full stop.
Hmm I wouldn't allow kids to wear earphones, especially in-ear ones.
Kids don't understand loud volumes can damage permanently.
Be careful.
