Great sound quality for a great price! Well done Dick Smith!
Wouldn't waste my money on this over hyped/marketed headphone! Spent it on the AKG Q701 instead!
Can your AKG Q701 do this - if not, then they're not much of an alternative - horses for courses.
you video shows that the beats got broken? what are you saying - that akg q701 wont break so its not the same? LOL :)
…..
akg 701 will be more durable than the beats but I wouldnt even put them in the same class. Something cheaper like sony v6/7506 will already smoke these beats.
Its not made for abnormal stupid stress tests… Its for pure audio quality, something the beats can never achieve!
q701 headband is aluminium rods - they wont bend 100% straight before snapping but you'd have to use incredible force to snap them.
and RE sony v6/ 7506 - these are the staple of every radio station in the world. You can see how beat up they are from thousands of hours of use and yet they still refuse to die.
Thats how you know beats are all show and no go. Look at backstage videos of film makers and musicians. See what they are using on set - NEVER have I seen anyone wear beats.
Only people getting paid to do so wear beats.
And my Q701 is on the way. Glad I got in on the drop. Bought to compare an Austrian pair to a Chinese one.
Are these as good as the UE6000?
I wouldn't pay anything over $50 on this crappy headphone. All Beats products are over priced.
The new non Monster generation are getting pretty positive reviews. Have you actually tried these or are you a typical keyboard warrior banging on about cliched crap they actually have no idea about.
Which reviews are they? I found some reviews but they are so far ranging from 3/5 to 4.5/5 any from a reputable headphone review site?
How did you get $243.60? The family and friends offer is $30 off for every $100 spent on Beats. That means $90 off which brings us to $258 ($348 - $90).
That's what I thought, but they simply applied 30% off at the register
OK I will have to look for the least switched on person in the store.
Only to find out that he/she is really the Rainman.
@jlogic: Yeah K-MART SUCKS
Having undertaken preliminary sufficient research on the headphones and I purchased for the following reasons in order of priority:
Wireless convenience (The tangled heap of cables and hanging cords from head frustrate me incredibly)
Inconspicuous aesthetics (Working in a corporate environment and at the same time being adamant to have headphones over earphones - it seems Beats has evolved towards catering for those seeking some subtlety
I actually went out of my way to purchase from JB HiFi in order to purchase the "Matte Black" version and these are about as inconspicuous as headphones can get, not a single colouring highlight
I purchased these "price-matched" at JB HiFi by combining my Sonos Play 1 purchase.
After a few hours of ownership - the sound performance was never going to be life changing by any means, they sound good but not great HOWEVER being freed from pulling out a tangled heap of cords coupled with the dangling around your neck/shirt/pockets of cables…Life will never be the same!!!
JB have these marked at $479 - so nearly 50% off retail - thanks for the heads up on these OP
Have you try it? Any good?
