Add $21.25 for delivey to Victoria 3000 plus 2% CC surcharge = $149. Not a great bargain.
Does anyone know what sort of drives these are?
thats the problem he does not even tell you . No way is that a Bargain ,More like a rippoff .
Why is that because its not from Fluidtek??? Is there something you want to tell us?
Yeah, there was a $99 (Plus about $10-15 shipping) 1 TB HDD here probably a month ago.
The 1TB Portable Hard Drive can be picked up, just walk in store and ask our friendly staffs.
And the inside Hard disk is Western Digital 1TB. Sorry about the missing information.
No problem, I think people are getting a lot pickier about their bargains these days.
Cheapest 1TB External from Staticice is Shopping Square with $130 + $10 shipping (no pickup avail).
No pickup surcharge so if you live locally it's yours for $125. I think that's a good deal. Not the best we've seen lately, but by the looks of it, the best there is at current time.
EDIT: No doubt shipping is on the expensive side for Victoria, maybe they can manually calculate it and give you a better price..
yeah but don't you think 21.25 is a little excessive for post?
Cheapest 1TB External from Staticice is Shopping Square with $130 + $10 shipping (no pickup avail).
means that this equates to 140, 125+21 = 146 means its more from anypc hence not the best bargain.
you should get rep status
You can pick up a LaCie 1TB drive from Officeworks for $149 and you can use your Credit Card with no surcharge!
8-*
By portable do you mean that these are the ones which don't need to be plugged into a wall socket to work?
It needs a power supply, which is a plugging socket. Because it's 3.5" external hard drive, USB port can not supply enough power. ^_^
Then isn't it a bit misleading calling it a portable hard drive? From a brief look at hard disk manufacturers website they reserve the tag portable HD for HD's which can draw power from the laptop itself, rather than a wall socket. If the hard drive needs to be plugged into a wall socket to turn on, then that does not seem very portable to me. Better to just say it's an external hard drive I think.
are these enclosures with Hardisk kits , if that is the case . Not good .
I would rather pay an extra few dollars and get WD or Seagate freeagent drives .
And the shipping costs is ridiculous . Sorry but not a good deal . 1 down for me
