An astonishingly low airfare for Melbourne - Los Angeles, or Melbourne - San Francisco.

$867 return (Travel from 24/07/2009 - 24/11/2009).

You may be able to get it even cheaper than that - I did a mock booking exercise to test it (MEL-LAX = 3rd Nov, LAX-MEL = 15th Nov) for two adults. Total price = $1710.69 so that's $855.34 per adult. How that works, I do not know…

      lol yes! I only spent $AU3200 on my 7 night holiday to new york last month, so I just need to save that much again!!! (i work 1-2days a week in retail, so its easier said than done)

  Note that this pricing is also available for travel from Sydney, Brisbane and Coolangatta, and they also have very good prices to Canada ($1211) , although only September-November.

  was in new york december last year, cheapest ticket then was aroun 3200, amazing how things have changed.

  is there a way to search for offers that are valid for a certain time period?

  ie. can I do a search for "MEL LAX" for travel between Jan 2 and Jan 15 ?

  (sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question)
