    Free is free, so kudos for that; but….

    • green house ventilated sheet.
    • Nylon or steel sewing thread.
    • Correct length (between poles) steel rope, with eyelets.
    • 3 Poles in the ground (or old trees) triangle design

    Sew edges of greenhouse tarp over the steel rope, connect to 2 poles by hand, winch (or tow with car) the last side up; connect.

    I'm just an average joe but it only took me 10 minutes at bunnings to buy them, and about an hour to put it up. Covers the pool. How on earth do you make a book out of it?

      No one needs instructions for anything, according to some.

      Watched civil engineer next door erect small sail over driveway. You would think that would be someone who took into account stresses, strains, material strength - ripped to shreds & metal supports bent or snapped in first big wind. He brought in professional to start again ;-)

        Its only something you have to take into account if you dont overkill everything.
        thick metal rope, quality bindings, and guaranteed strong enough mounting locations (like side of a brick house, and an established gum tree).

        Regardless; I clicked the link, and didnt get an ebook. I was just taken to his site, with an add to cart option.

    Its just a pamphlet to advertise the hardware they are selling. Bunnings have free DIY guides for the same reason.

    NO MORE free download guys…. we have been selling this book from last 2-3 years it helped lot of people in installing there own shade sails as lot of people think its easy and don't need any help but with our experience we have seen majority of shade sails failing in long term. So its best to have a little knowledge before you install.

    We thought OzBargin community will like it but lot of people putting -ve comments without reading or appreciating the effort gone into to write this boo so its better to remove it from here

      I was being a bit tongue in cheek to those who need a book to do it, but that wasnt the point.

      The point was, that to download it you were required to give your details.
      This means it was not free, and you listed it as free.

      Thusly, negative.

        I'm surprised you think no instructions are necessary to put up a sail, but could not work out you did not need to enter real info at checkout as the PDF link was there in your cart to link.
