FIRSTORDER20

Hello Ozbargainers!

If you requested a free sample from us a couple weeks ago, you should have already received your packet in the mail and hopefully have had an opportunity to experience the deliciousness contained within.

Let us know your thoughts and if you did not receive yours, please PM me with your email address and I'll sort it out straight away.

Just a heads-up that we are taking 20% off the entire range of True Protein products, including protein, supplements and health foods (real tasty stuff like acai berry, chia, etc.).

When combined with our bulk pricing on protein powders or our bundles, there are some fantastic savings available.

Due to a limitation of the system, the web page does not currently allow for you to mix and match and get the bulk discount. If you would like to have a variety of proteins, please PM me with your order number as soon after you place the order and I will fix it up the way you like.

Simply use the coupon code at checkout. Postage is a flat rate of $6.95 Australia-wide and FREE for order over $75.

Thank you for all the great feedback thus far. The overwhelming number of rave reviews for the Iced Chai was astounding and as a result we do plan on rolling this out as a WPI in addition to the WPC.

For those who asked for it, we'll be releasing D-Aspartic Acid at a special launch price this week as well.

As always, I'll be active on here to answer any questions you might have.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Already ordered 3x 1kg on 24.06.14 with the coupon code included with the free sample, was delivered quickly and I'm very happy with the product. Don't think I need more but Iced Chai Isolate is an exciting prospect!

    • Thanks for your business!

WPC Flavoured 10KG from Bulk Nutrients 189.00AUD VS same amount for 255.20AUD from True Protein, barely a bargain.
edit: coupon applied for True Protein

I agree we aren't the absolute cheapest source of whey protein in Australia, but hopefully we can differentiate ourselves on more than just price.

      Thanks for the feedback.

      • I posted this down below, but I think it's relevant here too:

We're actually cheaper than Bulk Nutrients in some cases when taking into account free shipping vs $12 for Bulk Nutrients.

For example, if you are ordering 2kg of protein (a very common amount to order and get two flavors + qualify for free shipping)

        From us: ($39.90 * 2) * .80 = $63.85
        Bulk Nutrients: $27*2 + $12 = $66

Thanks True Protein received my free sample of WPC chocolate yesterday will try it out tomorrow after my workout.

    • No worries. We're just happy to hear that people love the flavours we've come up with while keeping the ingredient list as short and natural as possible.

      • +1

FYI - I thought the Iced Chai tasted more like a spiced fruitcake than chai. Not that I am complaining - who wouldn't like the idea of healthy, liquid cake?

        • Strangeness. I can't stand fruit cakes, but I quite like Iced Chai.

  • OK prices but yeah Bulk Nutrients is cheaper even with these products at 20% discount.

    • +5

No denying that Bulk Nutrients is cheaper, but if you are looking for Stevia sweetened (instead of sucralose) protein that tastes great, I think you'll find that our proteins are worth a look.

I would like to think that price isn't the only consideration when consuming something on a daily basis.

      • +1

Please explain why stevia is superior to sucralose? Aside from the fact that it is natural.

        • +4

I personally find Stevia to taste better. The reason for this is that it is only 100 times sweeter than sugar while sucralose is 600 times sweeter than sugar. As a result, it's much easier to mix with stevia and get a consistent level of sweetness throughout and without the sickly sweet aftertaste you get with many artificial sweeteners.

You know that flavour, the strange, lingering slick of artificial sweetener on the back of your tongue. It usually isn't a problem for the first few days, but when you are going through 1kg+ per month, you will begin to get tired of the flavor pretty quick. That's just my $0.02.

Although Sucralose is recognised as safe, it can give some people IBS.

YMMV, but I would recommend trying ours vs others on the market and making up your own mind on what you prefer and if it's worth spending the extra.

        • +2

If I had to, I'd also choose stevia over sucralose too because of that lingering yuckness (not a word I know).

But instead I'd recommend going un-flavoured and adding a banana or berries if you blend it or some natural flavour like vanilla. It's like a milkshake especially with WPC.

          I use venom WPC @ $168 for 10kg (code xan3543) including delivery.

For the extra $87 I save compared to this product I could buy some organic vanilla bean powder for flavour (which is very nice btw) and still have $60 change.

      • Actually, I'd say there are three primary considerations: price, macronutrient profile and taste. Bulk Nutrients hits all three of these. You don't even come close on price, your macronutrient profile is not particularly different, so all you've got left to differentiate yourself on is the rather subjective "taste". I've created a very handy protein per g and $ spreadsheet in order to compare various protein powders -let's just say that your product would have to be ridiculously, orgasmically delicious to warrant placing an order. It's not just about price, it's about value

        • Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you factor in the free shipping we offer + the 20% discount, we actually come up cheaper than bulk nutrients in some cases.

For example, if you are ordering 2kg of protein (a very common amount to order and get two flavors + qualify for free shipping)

          From us: ($39.90 * 2) * .80 = $63.85
          Bulk Nutrients: $27*2 + $12 = $66

Not everyone is interested in buying in bulk and many will see that as a pretty good deal to try a new product that tastes great (subjective, but many prefer stevia over sucralose) and has the right macros.

Thanks for your feedback, and if you haven't already, please work shipping into your spreadsheet.

        • +1

Sorry, but bulk nutrients flavours are the best on the market. I've tried many, and theirs can't be beaten. On top of this, they mix extremely well with no residue at all and a creamy, smooth consistency throughout (I use skim milk FYI)

While 2kg may be common (I wouldn't know, I buy it not sell it) 10kg orders are for those who, like me, plan on using this almost daily. Your discounted price being so much higher is unfathomable. Seriously, there's a known and popular competitor with a large customer base, and your way of competing is to charge a heck of a lot more and justify this by using a subjective opinion of the flavour?

You'll need a lot more than that. Even coming in cheaper than bulk nutrients, you might still find it difficult to change opinions (mine included)

Just my $0.02. Good luck anyway mate.

        • I greatly appreciate the feedback and I will see what we can do about pricing on 10kg.

If you're interested, please PM me and I would be happy to send you a few samples to compare us to BN. I used to buy from BN myself, and I much prefer stevia from a taste perspective (leaving aside the mixed opinions/misinformation regarding the health & safety of sucralose).

I appreciate that it's difficult to sway people who are already using BN, but I know many will prefer the taste of ours and appreciate the free shipping on smaller orders. How good something tastes and what that's worth in terms of cost is completely subjective, but I am of the firm belief that people will pay a little more to get what they like/want (taste, natural sweeteners, etc).

There's no reason why anyone wouldn't want to at least give ours a go - especially if they are only looking for a couple kg (when it is actually cheaper to buy from us).

          Thanks again!

  • +1

Atleast ppl are providing options and competitions. I don't find bn great. Pick 2 out of 3. Cheap. Good. Fast. Bn hits all for ok. I'd pay more for a more quality product. Flavour. And taste though.

    What flavours us got?

    • Thanks for the feedback and I agree, competition is good!

The fact is, if you're only looking for 2 KG (about 1-2 months supply for most users), we actually come up cheaper and IMO taste better.

PM me if you're interested and I'll send you some free samples to compare.

      Cheers!

Can't believe this has received 3 negs. A protein company out there only a bit more expensive than BN (cheaper in some cases) and made with natural sweetener instead of crap made in a chem lab?.

Give me a break, why would companies who have so much competition in these markets want to come to OzBargain with their deals if all you dole bludgers looking for a free handout just deals all the time.

Have some respect & some common sense people.

    • Let me get this straight. You're calling me a disrespectful dole bludger who lacks common sense? Right…

  • +1

If you include the discount it's very price competitive from my POV, since i usually purchase 5kg bags of unflavored WPC for $107($95+$12delivery) at Bulk Nutrients and with True Proteins deal the same amount of WPC comes to $111.60 delivered.

So for just $4.60 more i can get the same product with Stevia instead of Sucralose than that is a bargain in my books.

    • Thanks for sharing and I look forward to hearing what you think of the protein.
      Cheers dude!

The rich chocolate protein sample was delicious enough to have me on board coupled with a high quality product. Beau (Hoselink) promptly answered my query on the mix up of the code discount and getting the refund difference sorted. Great service!

    • Awesome, glad we could be of help!

  • +1

Rep, are we allowed to split the flavours? So instead of ordering 4kg of chocolate, we can split into 4 different flavours? That's what made me stick to Venom Protein.

I stay well away from Bulk Nutrients. I ordered 5kg of their chocolate protein in order to save money since buying 5x1kg is much more expensive. I had extreme stomach pain after the 3rd kilo. It was great tasting for the first 2kg but after that, it was torture putting their crap in my mouth daily for months. At least if they offered to split the flavours I wouldn't get sick of it.

    • +2

Hey no problem on mix n matching while still receiving the bulk prices.

Unfortunately, the website is a bit limited at the moment, but if you order 4kg of a single flavor, put in the special delivery instructions what flavours you want and then pm me your order number I'll make the adjustment and ensure it goes out today.

      Cheers!

  • Would you be able to offer discounts for more than 5kg of protein ordered?

At the moment, for the regular drinkers, the 10kg price is not too attractive. Would appreciate your view on this Hoselink

  • Just ordered 2KG's of the Strawberry WPC (as Vanilla is out of stock). Received tracking details within a few minutes and looks like they've thrown in 3 free samples of the other flavours. Good start!

  • Hello Hoselink,

Where is your protein powder is sourced from?
