I think the international warranty is 1 year but if you buy it in Australia it's 2 years. I'm sure I read this somewhere, please correct me if I'm wrong :) so those that prefer a longer warranty might prefer a laptop that's down a model, I'm considering it… Even thought I don't really need one lol

The Apple Global Warranty is 12 months - the same as the Apple Australia Warranty for iPads purchased in Australia. However, iPads (and other Apple products purchased in Australia) also receive protection under our Consumer Protection Legislation - a Guarantee of 24 months and sometimes longer.
this one is also eligible for TRS, whereas the kogan one is not.
Apple Store will price match - they did for me a couple of weeks ago on the HN deal for an Apple TV + iPad. And I put it on my AMEX so I got $50 cash back as well.
It's been the same price at Harvey Norman for the past week too, if you can't find it at JB / HN is closer.
