Refurbished 8GB ($149) and 16GB ($209) iPod Nano (G4) from Apple

220

Apple seems to have some of the fourth gen ipod nanos at 25% off. Most colours are available.

Website says that they come with:

  • a new battery
  • a new outer case
  • sealed earbuds
  • the same 1 year warranty as new.

Don't see how that's any different then to buying a new one …

Great for personal use, bad for present:
    - The risk that your unit may present minor cosmetic imperfection, such as scratches, marks, discolouration, etc
    - Engraving and gift wrap not available for refurbished iPods

they come with NEW outer cases. So they may look flawless. Also you can get applecare on refurbs as well. So extending the warranty to two years.

better option that buying a second hand one off ebay.

    • Where on the site do u add on Applecare and how much extra is it

  • refurbished means they pulled them apart, air cleaned them and then put them in a new out case. I'd be staying away from these for the reason that they were problem ipods in the first place + they're not new components

99% of returns would be battery issues, since these are replaced, I see no issue, plus it comes with a 12 month warranty, and besdies who wants a nano lasting more than a year anyway, their disposable.

My iPod Video was a refurb, is approaching 2 years old, and still going strong.

      • considering i paid $270 for my 16gb nano, yes i do want it to last more than a year! lol

      • i've bought 3 refurbs from there over the years and every one of them has been just as new. if someone is thinking of buying an ipod touch from there, don't get the 1st generation as the 2nd generation is more than worth the increased price.

  • for those who don't really care about it being refurbished, it's a good price.

  • I have a refurb Zune, and I've had no problems with it :)

      whats a zune

creative zune? i think it's creative brand. It's just an alternative mp3 player

        • Lol, It's Microsoft's iPod competitor… It's not available for sale in australia yet…
It's not a creative branded player at all, that's the creative Zen.

I'm going assume Jesmond was making some joke about how unpopular and unheard of it is, when the Zune was supposed to become as big as the iPod…

  • So what did you pay for the Creative Zen?

  • Where on the site do u add on Applecare and how much extra is it

  • extreemly fast delevery, hope this ipod last more than a year
