    • i rmb they used to have 14 days return policy. Have they been enforcing the new policy strictly since they changed?

  • Just checking - you apply coupon, pay full price (despite paypal saying "$700 from XYZ card" during payment process), and they'll refund later?

    • +1

No commit to buy then next screen should have coupon box
Coupon Code: CBIGTREAT click apply and it should drop 20% max of $200

      • Yep, what I mean is I bought MBA for $875, entered coupon, price is $700. I go to paypal, price shows $700. I purchase, yet I get notification of an $875 payment (not $700 per what paypal said).

Are they refunding or later or did I get screwed?

        • +1

Click "Detail" on the transaction in paypal
          its should have
          1 Voucher applied and amount
          2 $ taken from your CC/Bank

Total amount $875 shows normal as main transaction

        • Hmm yep just a super odd way of presenting the payment. Shows I paid $875, but really was $700 when you dig into the details.

    • don't worry!
in the Transaction Details they explain everything

  • LG G2 or iPhone S2 - Which should I get? Does this end at midnight? Thanks for answers.

    • No idea what the iPhone S2 is. I just bought the LG G2 32GB. I had a look instore and preferred it over the Nexus 5. Also based on reviews it's great on battery and camera. Remember, LG G2 was LG's flagship phone of 2013 (i.e. highest model).

  • NOoooooo! i have been holding out on all the previous mac deal. can not resist…you made me poor!

  • Awesome … just awesome!

  • -4

You guys do realise it'll be cheaper at Christmas..

    • Even better, they'll be more cheaper during Easter

    • +2

In 6 months time you'd hope all current tech is cheaper ;)

  • anyone brought ipad air? is it brand new or refurbished?

    • +1

They have it listed as 'Condition: New' and in their description it says 'This product is BRAND NEW'.

  • Why does Kogan require landline verification? I only have a mobile number.

    • When did they ask you for that?

      • I don't know. I pressed 'buy now' and the eBay store asked for landline verification. same thing when I pressed 'add to cart'. Maybe I'll just create another account and try.

    • +1

I didn't require verification and have never bought from Kogan before. Do you have a new or unverified eBay or PayPal account?

    • most likely paypal
if you added updated credit card or something

anyone been looking at tvs? which one is the best deal? 50"+ Thanks

    • Posting this is a bit of an invasion, so please accept my apologies but I love this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-UA55H7000AW-55-140cm-FHD-…

From TGG. Gorgeous TV, is at the point of 'LCD looking as good as Plasma' and comes to $1789 after the 20% discount which is a price I'm not sure this kind of model would drop below.

What I am sure is somebody may post a better deal on a different TV that may already have a dropped price so I would hang in until midnight! Good luck.

    • Check out Good Guys. Bought an LG 55" 3D Smart TV(Model 55LB6500) for $1,377.00 including delivery of $50 from GG after the $200 discount. Purchased yesterday and it is being delivered tomorrow. Saw the TV in store and it looks good. Good Guys have a sale on TVs and blu- ray players at the moment, which they have brought across to the ebay store. Dick Smith has this TV listed for $1999 online!

  • i bought the t100 for uni 4 months ago for $440, i regret it now because i much prefer the mac for uni… should i buy one??? damn such a hard time deciding!!

    • +1

Even if you don't use it, you'll probably sell it for the same if not more

    • The T100 should be holding it's value pretty well…check what used ones have sold for on eBay

  • +3

Cheers OP. Picked up a 13" Macbook Air. I'll finally be allowed into the Usyd Law Library.

    • lawbry*

      • May be he meant to say Usyd Lewd Library :P (endorsed by Todd Carney)

      • Touché! Rolling up my chinos as we speak :P

  • Where do I apply the code?

    • commit to buy then apply code on the next screen

  • ohk good pheewww its sold out, saved 700

    • I was speaking to ebay staff earlier more deals to appear in future.

  • Just says thank you for payment $875

    • Tripped me too. It's not setup for coupons. If you go into the detail page in Paypal it'll show $700 payment, $175 coupon. But all emails etc say "thanks for your $875 payment!"

  • +4

Ended up buying 2 ipads and 2 macbook airs

    • +2

You're one more transaction short of earning the OzBargain Elite status ;)
      Quick, grab a iPad Air!

      • limit 5 transactions lol
should I make another account haha

        • +1

that'll do. Why not stock up few more macs :)

        • should have done that
too bad it's now sold out

  • Just bought the 13 inch MBA. What's the go with the power plug, will it need a converter as the stock is coming from Hong Kong?

    • I think Kogan will include a plug converter.

    • According to the listing on the Kogan website it states it comes with a charger and a "Generic AU adaptor",

      http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/apple-macbook-air-11-13ghz-i5-md…

    • Yep. They include a cheapo plug converter. It's in the description!

      • How safe is this considering the recent news of cheap adapters/chargers?

        • +1

just don't use headphones at same time !

        • the converter just makes the pin compatible and nothing else. The main thing you should be concerned about is the internals of the adapter. Since, it's an Apple adapter you know it's gone through all the safety tests and standards.

The news of dangerous cheap adapters are due to cheap components inside the actual adapter. It may not have proper insulation and missing the important protection components like fuses, etc.

        • Can we buy an actual apple converter? I'm thinking about just buying the complete original converter and adapter to be on the safe side.

        • +1

The current safety issue is for USB knock off power packs.

The ones here are Universal power supplies (90v to 270v) supplied with all apple products. The only difference is that these power supplies have Hong Kong plug. So the only "adapter" is to convert the plug.

The electronics inside will be identical to the australian supplied ones.

        • Don't use it. I used the one they sent with my Samsung phone and the adapter exploded and burnt whilst I was charging my phone.

  • Ok so after I hit "pay now" I then apply the code?

    • first screen comes up is buy then commit to buy the apply code,
I think you have skipped go back one page

      • Done $700 thanks. :)

    • Yes

  • Sorry guys, I'm newbie to CashRewards. How do I go to group eBay deal from cash rewards website to get the 2% rebate? I clicked "Go to store" and then ….? Thanks

    • +1

My understanding is just Visiting Cash Rewards Site (Make sure you signed up and are logged in) then Visit ebay pages or ebay deals page.
then make purchase as normal and it be applied automatically.

Perhaps others users can give shed some light.

      • Thank you!

        • +1

I believe CashRewards creates one internal session for eBay when you log in through them.

Anyway, go to CashRewards home page. Search "eBay" in their search box. Will show you eBay logo. Click this and purchase as normal.

        • Thank you guys! Got it. Much appreciated.

      • +1

Also, make sure you activate the account (done by clicking on a link sent via email after you signup) before you purchase. The terms also state that you need to finish the purchase without clicking on anything else like an ad etc.

        • Great info. Thank you very much!

  • Sorry for off topic question, does the 28 degree price protection apply to Kogan? Has anyone claim it?

    • +1

I seriously doubt there will be a better deal than this to claim, but I claimed price protection on two copies of borderlands 2 GOTY on steam and it's not even Australian… so I guess it depends on the employee doing your claim?

      • Thanks, I meant to write coles cc. 2 years price protection. Price in two years will be less than today

        • if this model is still on sale for next 2 years which I highly doubt

  • +3

signed up to say thanks to the OP!
got the iphone 5s, $549.. great deal cheers ;)

    • +4

I'm just the bloke who saw it first. :)

  • G2 or Nexus 5?

    • Nexus as you get future android updates
But the g2 has a better camera

      • So on a balance which one is the better deal / phone?

      • u forgot better battery with g2, better camera, overal g2 is a more premium phone

    • I bought the G2 after much reading of reviews and comparisons. I also had a look at the shops today and the LG looks quite nice as well, especially with it's gorgeous display with thin bezels. The camera is better and battery is full day or more too. Also, the Knock on feature is quite cool way to lock/unlock the phone.
Plus, you can install a different launcher to make it "look like" the Nexus's launcher. So you don't have to root it and install another ROM if you're not comfortable.

  • dam macbook sold out

    • I reckon they still have MBA 13" 256GB for $850 which is a great deal

      • Can kogan be used for tax purposes june 30 cut off?

        • +1

          grey import
          cannot claim for TRS

        • The same rules apply for claiming expenses on purchases from Kogan as they do if you purchase the same product in Australia. As stated though there is no GST component and as such you can not claim the GST.

        • Business expense!

  • How come the link at the top of the page to the Nexus 5 says "Ended" but the link just above its still available?? Will I get it for $336 following the link above?? thanks

    • The original link sold out. Kogan restocked it but with a new listing. So use the new one if you want to get it. And yes, you will get 20% off - i.e. $336. You can confirm this by applying the code at the checkout page before paying.
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-LG-Google-Nexus-5-D821-16GB-W…

    • because they list them as a new item instead of re-listing the old link
and you definitely will as long as you pay before midnight

  • can kogan provide tax invoice for tax refund in airport? going oversea in 2 month time

    • No. This is shipped from HK and as such is exempt from GST.

      • Third.. Can u see my q above plz

  • Is anyone else having trouble buying LG G2?

Comes up with error at last step. Tried in my ebay account and as a guest.

"Your request couldn't be processed at this time."

    • Got that same error but tried again 2 mins later and it worked (didn't change ebay/paypal account). See if it works for you now

  • That deal on MBA 13" 256GB for $850 is insane!!

    Must… resist… ahhhh!!

    • +2

      90 minutes to go
buy now and think later haha lol

      • +3

F#$% couldn't refuse, I'll think about this later LOL!!

        • +1

          excellent choice my friend
it's better than you regret that you didn't buy
at worst, you can still sell it

        • dw im gonna regret it tmr $850 poorer

        • Thanks for the kind words, I'll now choose between this and the Dell Inspiron 15 5000.

  • im still thinking whether to buy the asus t100

    • +1

if you are gonna use it for uni, go for the air, the t100 is a bit small, u have to sit very close to it or move your head in to the screen to see everything clearly

  • +3

    Look what scarcity creates…

A mob of people buying stuff they dont need with money dont have.

Quick the world is running out of luxury tech goods.
