Great headphones; if you don't care about hearing things but do care about looking flashy on the train or bus.

    • You mean you don't get Audiophile quality for $30?

      • Much better choices even in this price range. I own these things; along with 10 others pairs of budget headphones, and I refuse to even look at these. See my post Scrimshaw linked to below.

  • I've got one of these, and they're pretty decent. Good sound, but the pleather is a bit gross to have on in Summer. The cable is very long, so you'll need to get a wire tie or something for it

    Don't buy this if you're a bass head. http://www.amazon.com/review/RJSPUZ9EQ5T4W/ref=cm_cr_pr_view…
There are also a lot of other headphones in the same price range that are much better too

I had this for over a year and eventually replaced it with the Koss Portapro that I bought but had sitting in a drawer for over 7 months. Difference was like night and day.

The Logitech UE4000 ($24.95 @ Dick Smith sales) is a worthwhile much better alternative to the HD201, the only drawback being it's slightly lesss comfortable to wear as the cups sit on your ear rather than around them. UE6000 fixes this issue.

My verdict: while the UE4000 is still available, I wouldn't even consider the HD201 as the HD201 is a mainstream budget headphone, whereas the UE4000 despite it's comfort shortcomings produces a much better sound AND it's also marked down from its original price of $45+.

If you are looking for a USB headset for computing, and comfort is high on the list, I would highly recommend the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 which sells for $29 on MSY and you can claim cashback meaning it only sets you back $20.70.

  • I've used these on OS travel for a few years and have no complaints. Comfortable to wear, excellent passive noise cancellation, so important with cabin chaos in cattle class. The loooong cable makes then useful with TV in hotels when one of two wants to sleep…:-)

  • Good headphones for such a price. Minus is that if you will touch its wire you will hear that touching noise in your ears
