    • I've used it many times in Xtremescreen without charge. There is the charge for 3D though (Xtremescreen or not).

Also can't be used after 5pm Saturdays.

    • I just brought tickets for transformers with xtreme screen. No extra charge

    • Yep, same as others, can confirm used last weekend on Extremescreen at Broadway, NSW, no extra charge or booking fee.

Used it today… no charge for xtremescreen I can confirm!

    • ok thank you

  • Thanks heaps, saved a friend a small, school holiday, fortune! :)

  • What happened to Chadstone???

ETA: Just Googled it, shutting down for refurb until 2016. Damn, that is a long time for the people around the area to not have a close movie theatre.

Awww wish they still gave free popcorn :-( Oh well still saved $10 bucks from my two kids ill just use that savings to buy popcorn.

A large tub of popcorn from hoyts is 2 1/2 worth of microwavable popcorn. I saved them so I can refill them with my own and bring it in. Ozbargain lyf

  • No way to use this if not an Optus customer, right?

My wife and I are Telstra because we need the coverage, but our closest cinema is a Hoyts, not covered by the telstra movie deal… :(

Buy a $2 optus sim card

      • +1

That doesn't work anymore. I purchased a $2 sim prepaid sim several months ago with the express intent of accessing Optus Hoyts movie rewards. After several calls to their phone help line, several emails back and forth to their online social media, several emails back and forth from their online help team, and their promises to forward my issue to the IT team to fix, and several weeks later, I just gave up trying and threw away from my sim card.

          Oh rats

        • i bought the $2 sim still works for me for the past 6 months. i would try another sim card if i were you.

  • Will it work if TPG ? Or do you have to have Optus ?

    • Same Q here, anyone? Does it work with TPG (Optus network)?

      • don't think it will work, different biller….

  • They cut me off a few months ago. I have been with LiveConnected (switched from Optus) for close to 2 years now and was making good use of this offer. Will have to pick up a prepaid sim and make a new account.

    • I was cut off as well but I just signed up with the same number again and it seemed to work. Havn't used this number 6 years.

  • Up to what age is considered kids at cinemas? I forgot :)

    • 14 and under. Come visit us at Frankston! ;)

    • 15 years and under. Oops is it 14?

      • +1

Sorry, I'm mistaken! It is 15! (but if an adult is purchasing all the tickets and some children are 16 or so, it mostly won't be looked at)

      • So they can use a kids ticket and get into a MA15+ movie. Sounds tops!

Can't be used Saturday after 5pm???

    • Disappointing! This was the one good thing that the Hoyts discounted tickets had over Village. It meant you could still do a movie and dinner on a Saturday night.

  • Am I blind, or is Hoyts Erina Fair missing from the list? If I buy for another Hoyts store, I can use at Erina, right?

  • i'm interested in buying kids tickets but you have to buy adult tickets as well to do so :(

would anyone like to help by buying adult tickets through me at cost?

    please pm me :)

  • It looks like this is not as good as it seems as you can only buy 1 $5 kids ticket per 1 $10 adult ticket.
So 1 adult with 3 kids will need to buy 1 adult ticket for $10, 1 kids ticket for $5 and then 2 kids tickets at full price.
Is there anywhere else I can buy the remaining kids tickets at a discount?

Edit: I could always buy an adult ticket ($10) for my eldest 13, then get the $5 kids ticket for the other one.

Not that its of interest to you, but ive left Optus Mobile. Was getting royally screwed on call rates, and a cheap movie ticket once a month wasn't enough.

  • If you don't have an Optus account, ask your friends, if you can use there Optus number to create your account, I've been a member for 2 years now, by using a friends number to create the account, you don't need the number after that.

  • Anyone else not received their tickets via post? Kicking myself for not having them emailed. Tried to contact them but apparently their mailbox is full!

    I ordered on 24th and 25th.
