Seems same product GB has/had for 44c delivered https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/149514

    • Thanks but I'm more surprised with the number of negative feedbacks.

      • It has to do with GB's reputation for slow delivery of previous orders.

        • +2

delivery is slow but I have always received the items.

I purchased the product for 44c from there earlier. Should I assume it wont be coming and I should just buy this one? :S

      • If you want it, it's probably safer to buy this one and treat the GB one as pot luck.
I've had a few things from GB turn up within 6-8 weeks, some not at all.

  • What app are you guys using on Android for this gadget?

    • The only one in English appears to be Klick.
I find it has a noticeable slowdown effect on the device when running.
On my Optimus G it's powerful enough to not be a major issue, but on my Galaxy S it made the phone sluggish.

      • +3

The app uses about 55mb of RAM, which is quite significant for older devices.

Picked up a couple from the last TinyDeal deal.

Using the Klick app which you can download from Google Play.

http://www.helloklick.com/index.php/site/download this link appears to be the same apk.

Setup 3 frequently phone contacts for the 3 clicks, works fine, able to dial while screen is locked.

However I'm unable to launch any apps while screen is locked, after unlocking the screen the app is already running.

    I'm using SGS4.

Haven't tried the other apps yet.

    Cheers,
    Adro

Edit: Agree with scubacoles re noticeable slow down of the phone.

Camera app especially, you'll have to hold the phone steady for a few seconds for the photo to happen.

Has anyone found a way to use it as a shutter button for taking photos while in camera mode instead of using the on screen button? That was the reason I bought it, missed my ol' Nokia phones with physical shutter button.

    • Battery life?

      • No issues that I've seen

  • Will it work with ASUS MeMo Pad 7 HD?

  • Bought this in the last deal and none of the apps work with my Razr HD. The apps don't recognise any input at all so it's basically useless, not a huge outlay but disappointing nonetheless. However it did work in my Galaxy S which is on 2.3.6 still so who knows really. But yeah doesn't work on most motorola phones apparently.

  • it makes me a little sad that such a genious Kickstarter mind (and no, I personally didnt back it)can be reduced to a 44c chinese ripoff.

bargain is a bargain, but I do so hate when it hits the little guy, not the giants.

    • Let me put it to you this way, Pressy will cost you $27 and hasn't shipped for months, we still don't know if its even real. This costs a fraction of that, and it really hasn't been proven who developed which first. Considering the cost difference between the two, you can see that Pressy is making a huge profit margin as they are producing in China too. If they had chosen to make in America, the cost may have been double, so what, thats still around $20 profit on each one, and invaluable economic development to the local area. Instead they cheaped out and now they pay for it.

      • They should leave the hardware to the Chinese and sell a Pressy App to make money..
Klick apparently uses 55mb which is surely about 50mb too much!
I'd happily pay a few $ to have a good app!

        • Leaving the hardware to the Chinese is why we have $1.5 knockoffs! Apparently they protect their official app with an activation code so it can't be used with knockoffs, what a joke. Anyway is 50mb really that big of a problem when most phones have 1gb, now moving to 2?

most phones have 1gb, now moving to 2?

Really? What about all those current phones that many of us are using. I'm not spending hundreds of dollars upgrading to suit a 44c piece of hardware.

  • how about lg g2?

    work or not? anyone tried?

    • Yes
