  • I must need sleep; I just read that as "Fully sick engine oil" :-/

  • +1

these are prob the best engine oil for 35 bucks :) been using it for a while now…

  • I'll be there for some 10W/60 it's normally $70.

  • SWEET! This will go well in the MR2!

  • Hi, would anyone know if this would be suitable for a 2001 1.6 Volksy Golf?
Just bought the thing and trying to determine the most suitable oil for it…

    • Hi I'm pretty sure you can actually use the 5W-30 that's on sale, I just typed your car's details into Castrol's website online lube guide and it recommends that you can use the 5W-30 Edge sport in a Volkswagon Golf 1.6 litre Engine years 1998-2004 models.

I also checked Valvoline, Mobil, BP and Caltex online guides and they also recommend a 5W-30 and 5W-40 viscosity synthetic oil for your car. But I would double check maybe with your owners manual if you have one to make sure it's the correct viscosity and type for your car.

I don't buy this oil myself as I have older cars and it doesn't suit them but I had a look through Supercheap Auto today and the shelves were empty of this oil so I hope you can find some for your car…

  • Awesome price!
I bought the 0-40 a few months back for $79.95
My car wulda been ok with this

FireFly it depends how many Ks your Golf has.
If its more than 90,000 (which i pressume would be) you dont want to put fully synth oil.
Also since its not the Gti, or the R32 i'de advise against it for 1.6L, this is for High performance cars,
    e.g Turbos, Sports V6s, etc
