      its confusing. :) , deal is for two months.. so I am assuming it is 2 months free membership. I also got 1 credit, which I can use to purchase a book I guess.

        You get one credit now, one credit in a month. Some time after you will be charged $14.95 membership renewal ie cancel in one months time as soon as you receive your second credit unless you want to retain membership.

    Been a member for a couple of years. I have swapped the radio in the car for Audiobooks and I have upgraded my membership to 2 audiobooks a month. I never get time to read a book but all that wasted time on the freeway listening to E grade celebrities trying to be funny interrupted occasionally by the same 20 songs on a loop across all stations has been replaced with some awesome books like the Millenium trilogy and a heap of Zombie series that I became addicted to! This has worked for me and money well spent from my point of view.

    I haven't tried Audible before, but is there a way to search and choose what accents books are recorded in? Some of the audiobooks I've heard before are recorded in horrible accents which are just grating to listen to.

      There's always a little 'preview' button on each book's product page. You can listen to a little sample (usually about a minute long), and see from that whether you'll like the narrator.

    Can confirm this works. Make sure you reenter the promotion code once you log in, as it defaults back to a normal membership sign up at $14.95. Received 1 credit, assuming will receive another next month.

    Interesting to see that Amazon has doubled the offer.

    The 'one-free-book' sign-up offer has been running for about 6 months, with every vaguely prominent Youtuber given a deal to flog it. With the change, no doubt more flogging to come. Starting to get pretty sick of it…
