It mentions batteries, but not a charger… I assume it comes with a charger though, or that each tool can function as a charger, via a cord. If that is the case, this is really cheap. Even if it only lasts a bit over a year, at this price it owes you nothing. If it lasts less, just get a cash refund. Be sure to pick up the free pot of 500 mL Valsper paint while you're there. It's good paint, and it's always been given with a smile in my (erm, somewhat numerous) experiences. I'm starting to really warm to Masters!

EDIT: Oops didn't notice the 'no pick-up'.

    Thanks don't forget coupon grocery10 for 10%off

  • Like how you don't write the brand name in the description to attract attention. Instead you go straight into the battery specifications. What on earth is 909? Sounds like a French automobile to me…
Edit: and only two less than a German automobile.

Means it has 909 days warranty. For real.

Unable to complete payment at the checkout. Tried it 2 times now. The gateway gives a message "Your payment is processing" and nothing happens.

It may have worked anyway… I ordered something the other day and it wouldn't work so I decided to leave it for 10 minutes and try again. In the mean time I checked my email and what do you know I had a order confirmation email… For some reason the website got stuck but it still processed…So in other words check your email

      • You were right. Now I have 2 orders. Have raised a dispute :-(

        • For that price, why not keep them both? There's nothing more annoying than getting half way through a job when the battery runs out. It's always handy to have a spare. The next annoying thing is having to keep switching between drill bit and screwdriver bit: with the two you can have both set up.

Hope they have some stock .unlike the 50% off bbq deal they have running at the moment

  • No stock in any Sydney stores. Only shows available in Gosford… =/

  • Can't argue with that price.

Drill is a bit shitty, but hell it's $29!

  • Can anyone with this tool please comment whether there is a standard set of add-ons that you can attached to the included oscillating tool so that it can be used as an multitool ?

    • I had this set but returned it within a few days. Awful battery life with the multi tool (10mins run time max). The multi tool can use any standard non-dremmel bits iirc. You can get their accessory pack from Masters or the 'craftright' ones from Bunnings. Pretty handy budget tool for the odd VERY short use here and there, but imo utter useless. Charger takes 60mins+ to charge the single battery in pack. Awesome experience removing grout from tiles - 3 tiles in, battery flatlined and need 60min charge. Also, this tool is very unergonomic with crazy vibrations on the user - be warned!

BTW did I mention you can't buy spare batteries? If battery goes cactus, you're stuck with 2 junk tools. Very wasteful of resources imo.

My advice: save your $ and get a corded tool. If you want cordless, go with a better battery system where you can buy spares.

  • Just bought one and have received Tax Invoice from Masters, thanks!
But it seems out of stock now.

  • I already have enough cheap tools in my collection including few drills which I can't use when I need them badly. They either don't have enough power or battery don't last long enough. This time will wait for a good branded 18v drill with a LiIon battery. Hope ether Masters or Bunnings will make it happen before 30th June. I already saw couple good ones both from Bunnings and Masters. Only problem was the battery being NiCad.

My girlfriend could use a good drill.

  • does it include screw driver bits?

    • we'll see.. i just bought the 18v model (because… be a man) and the two heads (impact and hammer) so this little adventure just cost me $150… but i can 100% tax deduct

      supposed to be very good

  • 12V drills pfft!!! why waste time with 12V and 14.4V drills. best just buy an 18V one from ebay for $60-$80 and it will be way way better.
