Saw this deal on reddit and thought it may be worth posting, looks like a fairly decent card for $356.66 Shipped. Did a quick search around the net, and the nearest price I could find was $479.00 on PC Case Gear. $342.87 + $13.79 shipping = $356.66 Shipped @ Amazon

ALSO comes with Watch Dogs as a Free Download!

Here is a review on the card:

As xuqi mentioned (thank you) it comes with a lifetime warranty:

    • Thanks for this, adding to the description :-)

    • Warranty is not so good because consumer needs to pay both shipment charges to/from US, which my end being + USD 100 + weeks. Also in 2 years most of the people will upgrade instead of sending it for repairs. So basically 1 year of warranty + 1 year from your credit card is standard when you buy from Australia.

  • Could I SLI this with an Asus 770 2gb?

Would it just run at 2gb or not work at all?

    • +1

      You'd need another 2GB card.

      • mmmm. Ill keep looking then. Cheers

Is the warranty international? Where to post if it dies or DOA?

    • I guess the warranty is international, don't quote me though but in the warranty links xugi provided it says:

"When shipping from outside the United States this will
include freight, duty, customs fees and taxes. All pricing is in USD."

      • +2

ok so this means we post it back to usa? that would cost a fortune! hope not to get a doa card

        • Probably DOA would be covered by Amazon, but then the warranty for us when buying from US is pretty useless.
I have a 560 and tempted to buy this. Not in a hurry to buy, though….I may wait a couple of months and prices might be even better.

amazon warranty is pretty amazing.. anything with warranty you file the return and they send you out the replacement within a couple days then you can get a refund on the return shipping once they receive the item (done it myself with some things)

Review compared to R9 280x and 290, summary:

We saw in the SAPPHIRE R9 280X and PNY GTX 770 XLR8 OC2 were more or less similar in gameplay experience.

We saw that our reference Radeon R9 290 consistently performed faster than the PNY GTX 770 XLR8 OC2, and could utilize more graphics settings in more games. That makes it the better choice if you have a few extra bucks to spend.

I like the Nvidia team - I'd never go Radeon

    • That makes it the better choice if you have a few extra bucks to spend.

      A few extra bucks?

GTX 770s start at $339; R9 290s start at $450. They're not really equivalent. The GTX 780 is more of the R9 290s direct competitor.

Though I do agree that in most cases, buying an R9 280X over a GTX 770 makes more sense, as they've been cheaper and will probably drop in price faster over the year.

      • Downvoted for preferring nvidia graphic cards ?

        • +3

I'm not the kind of person to downvote people over fanboyism. See? There's a + vote. Couldn't have done that if I already negged you and revoked it.

        • hahha not a big fan, but I'm just familiar with nivida GPU models and not prepared to jump wagon. Same for Intel CPUs. Makes it easier to reduce available options when making decisions.

  • US$309.99 ?

The $356.66 the OP mentions is the Amazon AUD converted price including AmazonGlobal Standard Shipping (averages 9-12 days).

If you have a credit card that doesn't charge conversion fees, pay in USD and you'll get it a few percent cheaper.

I checked around on the web and was happy with what I saw so I have dropped the cash for one of these, supposed to be here by the end of the month.

    Thanks OP

Just bought one. Good price for a 4GB card. Been thinking about upgrading from my GTX 660, thinking now is a good time to do so. Should still get a reasonable sum for the old card plus the sale of Watch Dogs. Hopefully won't be out of pocket too much.
    Thanks OP

  • Just as a follow-up, card arrived today and is working well. The instructions are generic and suck. With the default install settings I am getting 55 fps in World of Tanks with the games maximum settings on dual 27" screens.
