    Love this camera

I have the 260 which is the version before this and my girlfriend has this one.

Absolutely amazing travel zoom camera. Took over 3000 pics in Europe with it and it never missed a beat.

Only downfall is the Short battery life if you have the gps on but I always have a few spare eBay batteries that perform just as good as the original canon one.

Here is a pic I took during vivid last week (no silly filters)

This is a great camera for anyone that needs a good point and shoot with a bloody good zoom too

    • Just checked and it seems the 270 doesn't have wifi or GPS so I guess you won't have the battery issue.
Still nice to have a spare or two though

      • You can turn the GPS off on your 260 if you don't need it. Have you tried that? or do you like it?

        • Yes i do have it turned off usually but its great for when you are travelling

        • GPS is pretty cool if you travel a good deal and look at your photos on an auto geotagged map. Had the family around on the weekend and it was awesome to just click around and see related photos by area.

I personally have the Lumix TZ which is the Panasonic equivalent of this cam. Great price for the Canon though.

  • bought the Canon 600SX for $250 last week. More compact and wifi is awesome.

    • can that be charged by usb?

  • Has Canon fixed its compact camera battery problems yet? Don't ask, Google it.
