  • Great price but how many units are available? Need a minimum of 10 to be a deal.

  • What a bargain. Even as a paperweight it's worth $10!

    • +1

Bargain is only as good as there being stock to buy it. If no stock then the bargain is quite useless.

      • That OK. I wasn't planning on buying it anyway.

  • $6 delivery.

  • Typical OW poor stock management. Will add to cart but no stock at checkout.

    • Poor stock management or lure to get you onto the site/into the store?

It would be hard to believe the latter. Although it does seem to happen again and again LOL.

    • +1

Calm down people, it's not a deal, it's a clearance. Isn't that what a clearance is meant to be? To get RID of stock. I'm sure they aren't purposely trying to pull off a DS.

  • Out of stock in south Melbourne when I just got in

    • +1

Means they never had any to begin with

      • +1

I clicked +ve by accident and don't know how to revoke it :P

But yeah, I literally got in to the store 19 minutes after it was posted, so I'm not sure if there were any there today at all. The guy even said that he'd had 5 calls in the time I walked in the store enquiring about the printer.

        EDIT: revoked

  • +1

instead of buying a $60 toner replacement, just buy 6 more printers

    • +3

If you can find 6 more printers… in the whole of Australia.

      • can't :(

  • +1

anybody been to adelaide st brisbane

    • +3

Thousands of people go there every day.

  • This was previously $15 but the local store sold out some time ago. I know because i tried to buy it. The online store said it was showing as still in stock at the store but i went to the store and nope actually no stock left apparently they even sold the demo unit. So the online store stock checker can be wrong. Don't rely on it for accurate store stock levels.

    • Yeah. I find even though it says In Stock is no guarantee that it's actually really in stock. As i said i've seen it saying In Stock but went to the store straight away that morning and there was nothing left in stock there.

OW store stock checker leaves a lot to be desired. I don't think it's a real time stock checker. The web site is inaccurate.

Only way to know for sure is to actually physically go to the stores and check it out.

    • +1

Just went to OW cannington, no stock

      • Yeah see what i mean. The web site store stock checker is totally inaccurate. Don't rely on it. It tells fibs.

  • I bought these a year ago for around $12.00 and they are great. Very fast printing. The extra 2 years cover is $2. You won't go wrong with that.

  • OW site can be inaccurate. Even if there is no new stock but just the display model, their site will show as in stock (for that store).

    • And i think the stock status must be updated only once a day probably over night. Meaning it's not real time. So if that last demo unit is sold early in the morning the stock checker will still show as In Stock for the rest of the day. In my opinion quite a hopeless system.

      • +1

Then there was the time I went to buy a fan and got told there wasn't stock and hadn't been for the last 3 months at least. Naturally the website claimed it was instock.

I am of the opinion that the website and related stock management is just hopeless or that they just make more money off people coming in and not finding what they want only to buy something else. How likely is it that it's the former given who owns them ya reckon?

        • I doubt people coming in specifically to buy a $10 printer would suddenly decide to buy a $45 one on the spot.

        • You never know when they figure they can't get the $10 bargain have to settle for next best.

  • cant see any in SA

  • Why is their stock control so bad? Because of shoplifting/pilferage?

    • +2

      maybe returns/damanged goods too.

hard to steal a printer?? (I would hope).

    • I'm skeptic. Perhaps the staff tuck a few out of the way for themselves. The staff at my local OW seems to have ESP to know exactly when a Dicksmith special has ended and reprices the shelf stock in the same hour! Hard to imagine they would be relaxed with stock control.

      • Well… it's much cheaper, easier, and less labour-intensive to change a tag on the shelf and a price in their system than it is to do a stocktake or fix a poor stock keeping system.

  • Good luck to any one who actually finds one in stock at a store. That will be a challenge.

  • Out of stock at Braddon (ACT). Apparently the stock indicator on the website includes returned faulty items
