  • Maybe I'm missing something, but why would anyone buy an analogue TV tuner when the analogue TV shutdown roll-out begins in a few months (lucky Mildura!?!).

The V600 takes multiple forms of input and outputs directly to a PC Montior. Allowing you to use the monitor as you would a TV.

A good review below to explain better.

looks good. if you want digital tv, just connect a set top box to this thing, and connect this thing to the lcd monitor. Anyway, quite a compliated process, and 80 bucks not include shipping yet.

I believe it also supports Xbox, Xbox360, PS2, PS3, Wii and other game consoles input. So you can set them up on to your monitor if there is no TV available.

or you could just buy a VGA or HDMI cable for your console (depending on your monitors inputs).

    • I've got the V300 its pretty much the same but black. Works great for my PS2 to connect to an LCD monitor. Only supports analogue TV which sucks I guess. But it does to Analogue TV well, I've got it plugged into the wall and its great. BTW all the different resolutions don't make a difference when your watching TV or for PS2.

agree - wouldn't waste time on an analog only box.

    And what about sound?

    • Well commented… what about sound? painstaking buying a set of speakers from an old ozbargain post…

      • For sound you have 2 options:

        1) It has a standard audio port on it like the one for headphones, it come with 2 way audio cable (male on both ends). Connect 1 to the tuner and the other to speakers.

        2) Connect your devices directly to your sound system (just plug in the video cables to the tuner).

        • Would be ok I guess then if you had a small set of powered PC speakers. Just need a female-female 3.5mm connector.

If I want to play 360 console on my monitor, I just use the VGA cable and either use my PC speakers or powered headphones for sound.

Considering a VGA cable for the 360 is about $50, this device is not that badly priced so giving a +ve.

          Thanks for the post.
