people interested in this laptop might be better off checking out the acer d250 which has a 6 cell battery and built in bluetooth and windows xp plus 2 years warranty for $499 + 12.95 shipping at http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/index.php

or the msi wind which has built in bluetooth and windows xp for $499 from www.msy.com.au

for $459 + $30 shipping the kogan does not have bluetooth built in ( +$10) and has only a 3 cell battery and linux os

Agreed, much better deals out there.

      Excellent suggestions xraging_bull
Could even be submitted to Consumer Affairs in NSW (I presume that's Kogan's home state)..
Their "We can assure you that you will not find a 10” Intel powered Netbook at a comparable price anywhere in Australia!"
seems to be blatantly incorrect based on your information.. I think $499 pickup is quite comparable to $489 delivered especially given the extra features… how much is XP worth OEM??

      • +1 on that analysis.

      • Bought OEM it's ~$130ish, but MS have introduced a license for netbook distributors to avoid losing market to Linux, so the big brands pay bugger all for it ($25ish, I think).

But yes, this is hardly an "unbelievable price". I'd take the MSI U100 from MSY mentioned above over this Kogan thing any day of the week.
