      It actually isn't the same exact model. Amazon deal is for the Canvio Connect version whereas this deal is for the Canvio Basics model. Canvio Basics on Amazon

        here's the breakdown:

        So, in a nutshell, amazon has the basics has having certain light problems and did not have great reviews.
        But the Connect version above gives you 10GB free online space with Pogoplug which you can share, store content. So in conclusion, albeit not $116, the $120.18 for a better device makes it a best buy for this device at this particular time.

    Reviews of the Toshiba 2TG on Amazon are off-putting. I'll wait for a WD or Seagate at a similar price.

    Picked up the GoPro - cheers OP! Seems it went on sale before 8pm as I bought it at about 20 minutes to.
