    With only a few seconds with both, and across weeks apart between comparisons, I think the Sony has equivalent performance with noise cancellation. Since it is currently cheaper than the Bose, I think this is a good deal.

    Thanks for the link …

    It says that the Sony does not have a replaceable battery … this would be a "killer" for me.

    But I found some tests (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2426374,00.asp) which actually say it has a replaceable battery (uses 1 AAA) … even if the test is not very favourable of that "feature" I would prefer to put a AAA in it …

  Haven't tried bose but hvae the earphones and they are pretty good at cancelling background noise and some voices.

  If you have SonyX then don't buy headphones even with 30% sale.

  The MDR10RNC is cheaper by a fair bit via SonyX.

      Ozbargain has a few threads about how to become one, sign up and everything.
      However currently they aren't letting heaps through, need to wait alittle.

      They need to restrict how many people they accept so it is still a exclusive club.
