  • Is hi Def screen protector better than the normal one?

    • +28

Yes, it comes in 1080p, not 720p, allowing you to see more of your screen.

      • -2

        It also doubles memory storage.

      • +1

Does it come with antivirus though? No point using my $1000 HDMI cable with my phone if there will be a virus (yes I know my cable has antivirus but maybe the phone can get past it). I don't want to get a virus on my monitor as well.

        thx

Related post on reddit the photo looks pretty bad.

Wow … they stock even an iPhone 6 and 6c screen protector … :-)

  • Just tried to buy a galaxy tab pro 8.4 screen protector. It says they cannot ship to Victoria at this time. :(

    • Must be just for the screen protector type.

I purchased 2 for my Note 3 with no issues at all.

      • Let us know how your experience is with this + the S-Pen. I had one of these on my Note 10.1 and had to remove it because it messed the S-Pen up :(

    • I just ordered mine (hi def) for a tab pro 8.4 in Melbourne and the order processed fine. maybe try again.

  • The hidef screen guard is really smooth, almost like the glass screen. Do wish they would take more care packing the stuff though. Ordered the hidef guard for a 10" screen and came backed with 1 sheet of thin cardboard. It came pretty damaged and unusable however they were very quick to send me a replacement, but that replacement was also damaged…..was not as bad as the first one and managed to to get it on without it lifting up. You can see a kink on it when on the screen but it has not bubbled up so have not contacted them about it yet.

  • Thanks op

They stuffed up my recent order and missed out on sending one of screen protector, another one of them was the wrong one and one was damaged. But they were quick to respond and have already posted my replacements for free. hell, they even told me not to bother sending them back. Go for the Hi-Def if you are scared to use soapy liquid on the phone. I can vouch that the quality of these things are miles ahead of the el cheapos from ebay and 10$ one from chinatown. Thanks for the deal OP….bought even more and bought a lot for my work mates as well….SCORE!!

  • Good protectors, easy to apply ; but too grippy . My z1 gets stuck on the dock :-( . I will recommend it anyway.

  • Thanks OP. Bought for the family and myself.
Maximum items per code use is 15. Any more than that and the code isn't valid.

  • Looking for an LG G2 one….there is one for Verizon and one for AT&T plus others.

Which ones did you guys get (if you have a G2)?

    • AT&T one. Verizon has different volume/power buttons.

Guys, be careful at buying screen guard from this website. Purchased an ipad and htc screen guard from last deal. The unit was handling and posting in a very careless way. I have to throw the ipad guard straight away. We can't claim from this website.

I really don't understand why these get so many votes. I order two set of their screen protects a couple of deals back. When applied my GS3 felt so rubbery and plastic, i think people say its the orange peel effect or whatever.

At first i thought i applied it incorrectly and used the second set but it was the same… i really don't recommend these. From personally experience the crappy ones off ebay would be better.

    • +1

Water application will have rubbery feel (apparently ALL water applied one does) so sounds absolutely normal. Upside if that it is more resistant to scratches.

I have the water applied for the back of my t100 and love it, makes it gripper so can almost hold the t100 on a 90degrees angle.

Try the hidef one next time, it is much better than any I have bought off ebay before.

I don't like any wet-application screen protectors because they feel rubbery. These don't have the orange-peel effect, at least nowhere as bad as the photo below. The original Invisibleshields had that problem.

The ebay ones will feel nicer (not grippy), but look terrible. They scratch really easily too.

The hidef ones aren't grippy (dry install). The rear skins are excellent too.

      • Actually i tried the skinomi wet applications and they don't feel rubbery at all =/

        • My last Skinomi was for a galaxy tab 7.7. It was pretty awful. The Xtremeguard rear skin I bought is less rubbery. I'm guessing it's similar to the Skinomis now.

If your fingernail happens to touch the screen while swiping or scrolling, do you feel the slight "rubberiness"?

I went with a glass screen protector. It feels better than the bare screen on my M8, surprisingly.

        • I actually took off the screen protector since i can't stand the feel of it >_>.

All i remember was that it was kinda hard to swipe with it on lol.

Also, where are you finding these glass screen protectors in Aus? I've heard of it but have no clue if it's good and how to apply it.

        • ebay, from HK. $11 only - well worth it!

Application is easy, it's just like a normal screen protector.

  • Bummer, the iPhone 6 guard is out of stock. OzBargained already? Ha ha.

  • I dont understand about the HiDef screen protector price. It's shown $2.99 in cart, which is cheaper than the normal screen protector (at $4.99).
Is it right? Or they charge $2.99 on top of the normal screen protector (and you must purchase the normal screen protector)?

    • Did you even bother reading the deal title and description?

Additional $2 off All Hi-Def Protectors

  • 18-32 days shipping…. jesus…. =S

    • It costs less than mailing a letter to your next-door neighbour. What do you expect?

      • true but this is longer than ebay times. ebay for me is about 14 - 21 days.

        • From the US? How much did that shipping cost?

  • Never bought from them previously, but bought 2 items and plus shipping came as less than 3 bucks, so not an issue at all of it turns out to be bad.

  • Bought the previous 90% off deal.
Don't expect too much. The quality is as same as the $1 screen protector on ebay.

I don't know why people buy screen protectors anymore, I stopped applying them after my S3 since the gorilla glass is quite sturdy.
Feels so much nicer to use and seeing how often we seem to upgrade our phones these days doesn't seem to be worth it. IMO

    • +4

This is why. This is my 3-week-old HTC One M8 screen.
      http://i.imgur.com/RoRssoS.jpg

How? I don't know. I have a dedicated phone pocket. I was waiting for my screen protector to arrive, so I was extra careful. Maybe it was some grains of sand that got into my pocket.

and seeing how often we seem to upgrade our phones these days doesn't seem to be worth it.

That is exactly why I think a screen protector is worth it. When it comes time to sell it, a phone with a pristine screen will sell for more than a phone with a scratched screen.

      • I do the same, how you got that scratch I have no idea, I have my S3 2 years and s4 1 year without any scratches.

To each his own I suppose, I never had massive or minor scratches on my screen so I don't see the need and resell fine.

        • +1

It's a gamble I think. Some people don't get scratches, others do. I see screen protectors as cheap insurance.

  • Shipping came up as $6.61 for me, is the 49c shipping only for screen protectors and not cases?

  • Great deal, thanks! .49 shipping for me, paid via paypal.

  • Excellent bargain. Just got a couple for me and a couple for my mum. Kids use our phones so they can do with all the protection they can get :-)

  • Is it limited order per account/person/IP?

    • I think you can only order 15 or 16 screen protectors with 80% off. Once you exceeded that limit, the 80% off code does not work.

      • new account works for me.

If you find yourself some how IP blocked. Always use your phone data, then use your mates. then public wifi <— try avoid the last one as its not secured to have payment going through public wifi.

        • I did just that. Let me get the 80% off total order but not the $2 off the HiDef case for more than one phone.

          Still good deal.

          Thanks op.

    Wet screen protectors?!!! What the…

  • Not a fan of these, to much effort to apply and recommends not to use the phone for a day :/

    • Overnight is fine. That's what I've done with all my wet install protectors. Maybe be a bit careful the next day.

  • Thanks!

  • great, just placed the order…. thanks Op and OZB

  • Difference between XtremeGuard and XtremeGuard HI-DEF
Still over 10x more expensive than the cheapest generics on eBay

    • I would personally go with tempered glass protectors.

  • Thanks, bought 2 LG G2 hi-def dry screen protectors for $2.76AUD. Quoted prices are in USD.

Just FYI, this code is still valid.
