This is the other lens in the twin kit lenses. It gets good reviews.
The price is pretty common according to camelcamelcamel. The lowest price in Australia is ~$300.

Optically this is pretty good.
Only issue I see people are complaining about is that the mount is plastic, so over time it deteriorates and will no longer hold the lens in.
Olympus doesn't make replacement mounts, although it should be quite easy to replace, remove 2-3 screws, change it over and all done.
Which is why people like the Panasonic Version for this zoom focal length, as it uses a metal mount rather than plastic.
Just stalk this out on ebay, I think most people will be able to get away with paying $120-$130 delivered.
Why do so many people misspell lens?
Must… refrain.. from downvoting… due. to… spelling.. mistake…..
Jbhifi sells it for $199. Seems like a better idea with Australian warranty
Yep it regularly gets a 50 dollar discount but it's good to be informed of when it happens; thanks.
you can do that with camelcamelcamel
What I find that is the camel is often very slow in updating. Happens far too often. I often find bargains before it registers on CamelCamelCamel. I'm very much a manual-checker.
Much prefer this lens to the 14-42 kit
