  • A minimum delivery and handling cost of $7.50 is payable per transaction please include delivery and handling cost in title.

  • does telstra has hoyts ticket offer or just event ticket? I can only found it has event cinema ticket offer.

    • I think telstra is event and optus is hoyts. I can be wrong but i am 80% sure this is the case.

    • telstra is event/village and optus is hoyts :)

$2 sim cards from either telstra or optus makes you a customer eligible for rewards

  • Just buy a $2 telstra sim or optus sim and you can have cheap tickets. Better than having to buy this and pay a $7.50 fee.

      You just blew my mind

  • Also for tafe student you can buy movie tickets for Event or Hoyts for $12 from the student association. These ticket include free upgrade for ExtremeScreen/Vmax and 3D and available on Saturday night as well.

  • Add a $1.10 per ticket if you book online
"Please note that booking fees apply when redeeming online"

    optus/telstra sounds a better deal
but for those who can't at least this is an alternative

to avoid the postage fees - pretty sure this can be bought at your local hoyts too

    As per edmobile8's comment…this isn't a good deal.

Edit: the neg is because it is clearly cheaper to buy the $2 instead of committing to $100 up front.

    • I'm fairly certain with that these vouchers, when using online to book tickets, you still have to pay a 1.10 booking fee. So even though the deal works out to be $10 per ticket, I still have to pay a booking fee when booking online. However, when I purchase tickets through Optus, I pay $10 per ticket and that's it. There's no online booking fee. That's ridiculous. I buy these vouchers directly from Hoyts and I have to still pay extra whereas there's no extra when buying through Optus.

  • I tried buying a $2 Optus sim from Woolworths purely for the cheap movies. It did not work as to book through the Optus movie site I needed the Optus mobile phone number and to get the mobile number I had to sign up to a monthly Optus package, which I did not want to do. Unless I missed something?

    • is it a prepaid sim? can you activate it without loading any money on it? do you already have the phone number?
i actually used the telstra $30 sim starter pack (for $10) i was using for google play credit for telstra
and i used the number off an old optus $2 sim pack that was 4 years old (activated but never used)

      • Yes it was prepaid. To activate it and get a mobile number you had to choose one of the Optus packages, it was part of the online process and it did look like you could avoid it.

        • thanks for warning was about to buy a $2 optus sim card

  • Telstra deal does not allow bookings on public holidays. This may, but not sure. If someone could tell me that would be great.

  • Hi you can simply do the following

You can google any optus mobile numbers. then you can register for optus 'yes movies' here

    http://www.yestickets.com.au/account/register

I found 1 and it worked. took me many tries. anyones random number, as long as its active, they dont check who it belongs to. I just bought $10 movie tickets after registration was successful.

no need to buy an optus $2 sim. no guarantee u can activate, as optus always ask to sign up for an expensive plan before allowing activation.

also booking is free via optus. so u save time and money. beat the queues =)

    • Negging this because using someone's information without their consent isn't right.
