We are very competitive on price and even though our candles are of a higher quality than our competition, we are far cheaper by approx 25%.

Actually Glasshouse were the first that came to mind, but I think the price differential is because Glasshouse is a well known brand so you're paying for the brand name. Glasshouse is stocked at David Jones vs a small online only brand, so not a great comparison IMO.
As I said below, I think it's a good price for the size etc, but shipping may sway that (where are the shipping costs listed)?.

Glasshouse are our main competitor and we are currently in talks with DJ's right now. We are not sure if we want to take it to that next level as it is simply a hobby that got too big!
Bordeaux has been around for a about 2 years now and is currently stocked in exclusive retail outlets.

For the large size of these candles, and the main variables (soy, hand poured, glass jars, made in Australia) the price is good. I don't think many people will want to buy 5 candles though - you'd have to be a HUGE candle fan or have many candle loving friends to gift them to…
Also how much are your shipping costs? I can't find them.
You can buy them individually, but this is our special package. My wife makes them by hand from start to finish. They really are a great candle!
My hat goes off to you for sharing this deal here, pana covered it perfectly above but that's no reason not to hear from businesses marketing products different to the OzBargain norm. It gets tiring seeing the same old crap sometimes.

I love my candles but purchasing 5 candles at a time is just too much. Will you be offering discounts on individual candles? Also do you have any local stockists? I would like to have a sniff before I buy.

At this stage no discounts on individual sales. 5 seems to be a popular number according to our sales figures, hence the reason we created this package, but we understand its not for everyone.
One in the kitchen, lounge, dining, bathroom, and a spare or gift would tally 5!
Rio De Janiero and Montego Bay are the names of the scents. Very popular scents I might add, and renaming them wouldn't make sense.
Glasshouse are not the only ones selling these fragrances. Glasshouse, Bordeaux Candles, etc do not own these fragrances, we just manufacture and sell them.
We do have our Bay Bordeaux Mini candles for only $12.95 if you want to try our smaller version.
