Will Dick Smith price match ?
sure not
Shipping is expensive though. $15 to Sydney. Got one anyway.
That and a friendly PCCG credit card surcharge kills most of their good deals.
might as well get this if its $15 delivery:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Western-Digital-WD-2TB-Portable-E…Yeah PCCG shipping is always very expensive.
If you live near their warehouse in SE Melbourne, it's a very good deal.
Not that different to retail after shipping…
edit: e.g. http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/toshiba-canvi… is $79, this is $76.
BUT with Officeworks you can return it no questions asked for 14 days after purchase, plus they cover warranty for you.
Is it worthwhile asking OW to price mach it ?
Can't argue with $72.20 as opposed to $79 for three minutes work. Dick Smith or Big W are likely to do a better deal before end of financial year though.
Not worth negging it though, it's still cheaper than Officeworks all up.
Plus if you live in Melbourne and can pick up from Mulgrave, it's way cheaper.Going to try my hand at Officeworks to see if they'll match - 5% it.
So you neg me…how old are you? 12?
$1 or $2 lower in one place or the other doesn't constitute a bargain. Why criticize an opinion? I didn't neg your comment earlier, someone else got to you. I've only just come back now… Wasn't aware of the PCCG Mulgrave pickup option, didn't appear at checkout.
I live in Melbourne and near Mulgrave, the deal neg can suck it.
nvm
how do you know it is 14 days?
good for a pickup. Ideally want a 2tb 2.5"
Better than oo.com.au
http://www.oo.com.au/Toshiba-1TB-Canvio-Basics-3-0-_P119591.…ADATA 1TB 2.5" has always been around $59~$69 at Umart.com.au I don't see this as a huge bargain. I would try to do a price match with officeworks though I'm pretty sure they would refuse.
Can any current owner post read/write speeds? I'd like to compare it to WD and Hitachi.
read: 31 MB/sec

ATTO disk benchmark
My Canivo 1 TB keeps having file system errors. Only about a month old. Read this happens to this model in many reviews, figured would not happen to me - Ooops it did.
Been running mine for atleast 6 months and it hasn't missed a beat. Picked mine up then for about $76 after price match at OW.
At $59 this is a great deal if you can pick it up in store like I can.
Great thing about OW is their easy return policy and good guarantees.
I've had to return stuff to PCCG and OW. OW you walk out the store with a replacement. With PCCG I waited 5 weeks while they send it to the manufacturer to authorise replacement.
Looks like deal is dead. Can't get into a working link anymore.
Sold out…
wow that's cheap
