NGD is not the greatest as they are a High Winds reseller, but this is about the cheapest block deal available. Most items listed on your indexer of choice will still be available. I use them as my primary with Astra as my backup. Astra is USD $50 for 1TB.
These NGD sales are relatively frequent. This is the 4th time this 2TB deal has been offered in 6 months.

Some indexers I can recommend that are open:
https://www.oznzb.com/register - pretty good, some great features, but relatively pricey. Aus based, $16 per year.
https://www.nmatrix.co.za/register - Very reliable, basic but clean to use. USD $10 for life
http://nzbplanet.net/register - Actually never used them, but they're open. A bit ugly.

  • If i get this, am i still illegally downloading tv shows/movies?

    • yeah but you're not illegally sharing them, which is safer for you.

      • or you can pay like $20 for a 6 month debrid account that gives access to ul, netload and other popular hosts . Filehosts aren't sharing. You can use the left over savings and buy a vpn for extra ass-coverage.

        • is there any limitations?

        • +1

I was of the understanding that Debrids are all built around them buying multiple accounts to places like netload etc, then maxing out/using those connections all the time to service their own customers - so overall they make some money back on investments…But I do think it will die off when the file hosting providers get jack of it and work out a better way for authorisation etc, plus I think you have to copy and paste the links from forums, RSS or rslog type sites onto the debrid site, then you download from them (as they do all the logging in to the hosters etc) Seems like the hard way of doing things compared to the highly automated sabnzbd + sb, cp etc…

Netflix is ok, just not there yet and since Hulu has been crippled in Aus this last week, things might not be looking so grand for Netflix here either.

        • After finally getting Sick Beard set up this past weekend, I wonder why I took so long to try it. The instructions available generally suck though and slowed down my trouble shooting that was holding me up. Now to set up Couch Potato.
Netflix have been very open about being happy to let in international people and will only apply the most basic of geo blocking abilities. I can only see this changing if they are setting up here.

        • Completely agree that using sabnzbd and an indexer is more efficient than filehost links.

With Netflix and getting tougher on geoblocking - remember Netflix already operates in many countries and their existing customers already switch to other regions to get different content. So even if Netflix started a service here, why would it be any different to what is already happening elsewhere?

        • Too true. Maybe Netflix will have to as part of a local licensing arrangement. Maybe not.

I don't know what you're doing, nor does anyone else. That is the point.

    • Netflix has really changed my downloading habits. My $5/mth unlimited newsgroup subscription is going to waste.

If you're download less than 170GB per month, then this block account deal is more economical.

        • Yeah I don't download anywhere near that now. Maybe it's time I converted to a block account.

    • Ahhhh i see i see thanks guys! :)
