looks original when photos are compared to the gizmodo review

yeah, I confirm they are original. FFS!!

    • after the last lot of issues with bandgoods "guaranteed" power banks falling short you can bet that anything thats not guaranteed is going to be a fake and much under advertised power.

How did you know its orignal?

  • This product is extremely popular on oversea market. For this price, doubt it is genuine.Anyone try it?

    • The thing is, the original price of this when it first came out is actually about the same.

People just have the tendency to believe that the more expensive it is, the more likely it is legitimate. It's precisely because of this mindset that some retailers jack up their prices.

      • The company can not keep production for this item as demand too high on oversea. Also Xiaomi brand items are selling using B2C strategy( directly selling to customer,no retailer) Thus, doubt how it can sell at this price to OZ, selling in homeland that will make hugh profit as high demand product. Most of people pay extra money on top of offical pricing to purchase Xiaomi products.

  • Anyone know what 18650 brand bats are inside it?

  • Cheaper at aliexpress.

    $22.58USD = $24.29AUD

    That's offical product details

Please do compare it with this seller.

At this stage, No purchase No comment. But dobut the price.

    i won't buy this ….even it is Original ….

  • OMG… Xiaomi is selling approx. RRP$12AUD , postage is around $2-3AUD from China. Over $10AUD (50%) profit!

    • problem is even you had enough money in china you cannot have it, you have to on purchase list and try lucky. Meanwhile, senting stuff to here is quite expensive.
That why I am doubt for this pricing.

  • As per scrimshaw - Google the 18650 battery serial number (as per the pics on the seller's site) and it seems the cells are only worth around US $4.40. Something looks a bit sus to me.

  • This product is popular overseas because it is cheap and also because it generate hype by selling as "limited stock" "limited time only" from Xiaomi's website.

So I doubt you can get a good supply of real ones.

Having said that, this type of doing business looks like it is backfiring in some places. They recently had a "Xiaomi day" where they put on their mobiles for sell (you cannot buy it from them other days), only to reduce the price of it by 18% 2 weeks later and also made it available all the time rather than releasing it in batches.

  • anyway this powerbank has memory issues. if you dont charge to the max it will think that is the max capacity according to giz.

  • don't we have banggood rep in here? hi, rep. where r u??

  • Received today, seems like a genuine product according to

Seems pretty good right now, no problems so far.
