Don't let the non-oc spec discourage your purchase. Only takes a few minutes to oc this beast. Plenty of oc figures. Including linustechtips has a spreadsheet with suggested oc's fotlr most cards. Some 290s can even upgraded to 290x bios. A 290 is a lot of card for around $450 but a waste for any 1080p gamer
OC'ing the graphics card takes about 6 clicks after installing the ATI drivers (which you're going to do anyway).
Even the reference card is easily capable of that.
I got the WF3 card from PCCG a few months ago. It wasn't advertised as coming with BF4 then either. Yet when I opened the box sure enough bf4 voucher was inside. Can't guarantee it still is, but it wouldn't surprise me.
I bought this last week. Just a heads up for those who are gonna invest in one. The Battlefield 4 Code (The one I received in the box at least) expires on the 30th of April 2014. So gotta double check this. Another important thing to note, the code isn't restricted to just redeeming BF4. During the redeem process, you may opt to redeem the Radeon Rewards (Gold Level) instead of BF4 which lets you select 3 titles from a list of decent games.

Were you actually able to redeem your code? I bought a 270x on Saturday and AMD's site is telling me the code's invalid. I'd assumed it was because the promotion expired on 31 March, though I'm not sure what that means exactly given that you're supposed to be able to redeem the code until 30 April.
Yes, I was able to redeem the code fine.

I ordered one and received the code in the box yesterday. Same problem with you saintben but I contacted CA they gave me a spare key that just worked.
That's reference card though this one has an aftermarket cooler
This cooler (GV-R929OC-4GD) is the one that received a lot of complaints (see Newegg reviews). The GV-R929WF3-4GD-GA is supposed to be better.
Reference cooler or not, a decent price drop in 6 months is not too much to ask. This has been the going rate for a R9 290 for some time.

Actually some items do that a small preview generally from wikipedia, appears to the right of the search results, try cent or a country/city, its pretty useful
