A quick search shows there are many cheaper options on eBay. I bought a pair for just a few dollars last year and they worked perfectly fine in that they provided warmth and worked with touch screens. Is there anything about these Digimitts that would justify the extra cost?

    • I bought a pair last year from The Reject Shop, normal price I think was $4, end of season marked down to $2….probably made in the same Chinese factory as these Digimitts

So what? I get negged for stating that I bought gloves from The Reject Shop that do the same thing as these Digimitts, & for pointing out that these Digimitts are probably made in a Chinese factory like 99% of stuff like this??
IceCreamBandit didn't get negged for their comment about eBay….
So either you lot on OzB don't like The Reject Shop, or, more likely, you don't like when plain honest simple truths are pointed out to you!!
That much has already presented itself in other threads….

  • I bought a reel of conductive thread on eBay, and sewed it into the finger of my gloves and other peoples gloves. Great for when you go to the snow.

  • Only one glove, left hand if you are right hand. Touch screen works. !

  • Got the same email from digimitts.
These gloves are useless in winter when the temperature is below 5 degrees.

  • Just buy conductive thread for a few bucks on Ebay and sew a 5mm section into the tip of the glove. It takes like 5min and isnt hard at all. Go inside and out of the glove a few times, then leave a few cm of loose thread on the inside of the glove so you make sure the thread actually touches the skin.

Before you start, take a good look on where you want the contact patch to be on the glove. Your first instinct is to sew it on the pad of your finger…. but the best spot is closer to the tip. Same with the thumb- but its actually better on the left side near your thumbnail for easier screen flicking.

Try it! Dont buy expensive for nothing. Just mod your current ones!
