Dell UltraSharp U2713HM 27” Monitor $637 (25% off) Delivered on Sale
Not as good as previous 30% off deal. But considering recent low AUD exchange rate, it could be good enough.

Agreed, although, it took me two goes to get a good one. Had to send them back because they had screen burn. Dell's after sales service was fantastic though.
whats screen burn?
Waiting for 4k 60hz at this price point. 1440p has been around for a while. Now tablets are getting same resolution or higher so its about time computer screens get the better treatment with 4k displays.
The only way 4k monitors will be at this price point is if they use TN screens like the Samsung Ones.
4K IPS screens won't be at this price point for quite a while, possibly years
Based on past deals the lowest was $559 and it was back in 2012, aren't these things suppose to get cheaper?

I bought it at that price. Haggled a little and got it for $550 ;)
TN panel, viewing angles would not be as good as IPS. This would be important on such a big panel.
errr..this is an IPS panel

Opps sorry, I thought I was replying to the Dell 28 inch special from yesterday.
Guys what is the difference between this one and P2714H (currently $386)?
I actually need it for photo editing. Please help
Just off the top of my head the U2713HM has much higher res (2560x1440 vs 1920x1080) and full colour gamut vs 72%
Thanks but it says
"Optimal Resolution:
2560 x 1440 at 60 Hz
Our VGA connector can only support up to 2048 x 1152 (Bandwidth Limitation).
Our HDMI is 1.4 is compatible and can support up to 1920 x 1080."is it worth paying the extra $$$??
you need connect it using either Display port or Dual link DVI to get the max. 2560 x 1440 at 60 Hz
Even at full price, I'd recommend this screen as the best value for money in it's class. There are some lovely Korean screens that will be cheaper, but are a real roll of the dice with regards to dead pixels. You may get lucky, you may be unlucky.
With this beast you will get a first-class screen. It's lovely to look at, and has good support/warranty. I'm using the 24" version and seriously considering selling it and getting one of these.
