and often fakes
The one thing you definitely want to avoid buying on Ebay is solid state storage media of any kind.
I did that before and it did not turn out well.
Why? What happened?
Bought a Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo at a good but not so-cheap-it's-obviously-a-dud price; it worked for about 4 months, then become inaccessible. Ebay's buyer protection period had expired, the seller was unresponsive; after some digging I discovered the guys I bought from (with 99% feedback ratings btw) are notorious Chinese rip-off merchants selling fake Memory Sticks and assorted storage media. When they do get busted, they just open another account. They also have sock accounts to boost their feedback ratings.
Phones are also one thing you really should avoid buying on Ebay (the other con I fell for). So many poorly refurbished pieces of sh*t sold as "new".
The Chinese scammers have their con artistry perfected to a tee, it's literally useless trying to take action against them. PayPal usually get you your money back but beyond that all you will gain are valuable lessons for next time.
The buyers of these con-artists also factor into the problem because when they receive these poorly refurbished goods or well-made fakes, they appear good as new when they first get their hands on them, which prompts them to immediately (same day) leave glowing feedback that they cannot later overturn once their "new" item breaks or is found to be a complete dud.
Even though you only get a period of 60 days after purchasing to leave feedback (which is a bit short when it takes the item weeks to arrive), if people just waited a few days or a week before finally giving a feedback score, it would go a long way to thinning out the ranks of these scammers because a lot of their stuff doesn't even last past a week these days.
That being said I have bought tons of stuff from Ebay without issue; I just avoid South-East Asian sellers at all costs when I'm buying electronics.

where can I buy GENUINE SanDisk SD cards cheap?
Use www.staticice.com.au to check OZ local price first.
If not satisfied, then turn to Amazon.com (US or UK). But always buy "sold and shiped from Amazon.com" items only to make sure receiving genuine product.
BTW, I prefer to make a big order at a time to save the shipping fee.But doesnt amazaon not ship to Australia?
Is this card rated at 48mb/s or 24mb/s?
Description below is directly taken from the link to post provided above. Hoop this helps.
"Samsung's Standard micro SD card lineup is the perfect solution for casual mobile device users. With solid transfer speeds of up to 48MB/s, this speed need test with Usb 3.0 port they work great to expand the capacity of a tablet computer or mobile phone."
Just so you know when it is phrased like that it means 48MB/s read only. Write speeds is somewhere between 10MB/s to 14MB/s.
On mine I can get about 13MB/s.
yes but the description at the top of the link shows a class 6 card, also a class 10 with read 24mb/s?
How can we be sure this is no a fake. There are web sites I have come across that will blatantly sell you 'fake' flash cards for resale on Ebay so I am always very wary.
Looked on the site and I can not find it! Help please.
you can get sandisk from ebay much cheaper, but thats not comparing apples with apples and shipping is usually from OS.
