Quite cheap storage boxes with adjustable dividers, currently on sale at Element14. Usually 6-7 days delivery from UK, but if you buy more than $45 I think free shipping is available. Registration is required. Shipping is added when you checkout.

Not sure when the deal ends. There seems to be plenty of stock.

Sorry about uncertainty about shipping - I buy so much from Element14 that I get free shipping on everything..

BTW, search code 'sale_anz' will bring up all the current sale items - but be warned there are a lot of them. Coupon code is not necessary to get the deal.

Happy Storing.

  • Good price… Might get a few later

  • Anyone recommend any other good bargains to reach the free shipping?

  • -6

If I buy one, I have to pay an extra $12.95 for freight, doesn't sound much of a deal now.

    • -1

      Did you read the description?

      • -5

Yes I did thanks, $2.50 no doubt is cheap, but I have to buy 19 of them to get the free delivery. I am not interested in anything else from the store. I believe their purchase over $45 for free freight is standard for them and not special or anything.

        • -1

Yes that is correct - and you would have known that from reading the post. So why neg and complain?

        • -4

Because it would cost me ~$15 to buy one. I want one not 19 so this isn't a bargain. I may as well buy from one of the other places that people commented on, it would be cheaper.

I bought one that looks absolutely identical from bunnings for about $5 recently (on special maybe from $8-9 I think). Does well as a small fishing tackle box.

Same design at kmart "performer" brand for $4
But these guys do have a lot of components at a good price to non wholesale buyers

  • +1

you guys store credit card info on your website? no paypal?

    pass!

If you desperately want the free shipping, you could get a Raspberry Pi in the same order.

  • @PissLUR Nope - I'm not a store rep. Just buy a lot from them for my work.

@storyteller - credit card but no CCV stored, and you can delete credit card details after you buy.

I'd buy a beaglebone black - but unfortunately there are next to zero stocks everywhere at the moment.

A question about 'your' store and you answer with credit card payment storage details.

Sounds like a rep to me.

Or because he buys from there regularly he's realised that they ask for his CCV with every order…

Yeah I doubt if element 14 give a damn about listing/sock puppeting on here, as their primary business is wholesale, but sure jump on board "the slander someone for a reasonable deal boat"…are you friends with Jv?

For me its a good deal as I need another pi for a project so I get free shipping. For others maybe its not. This is how the site works right?

As far as I am concerned all the ins and outs are clearly listed in the post so I think it works. Stop giving the guy such a hard time.

I have one - though not from element14 it looks identical - and I wouldn't recommend it. The dividers don't go fully floor-roof so components etc can slip under and over them, especially if it gets accidentally turned on its side or carried anywhere. The non-adjustable dimensions make it too small for storing most non-component stuff properly as well without sort of jamming it in diagonally.

    • I second that.

@dcs29 - Believe me or not.. I'm not a store rep. I don't believe I wrote anything about 'your' or 'my' store.

@tzar - I have 40 of them (got them delivered yesterday) and just checked the dividers do go floor to lid. The lid is recessed, and pressing on the clear lid above a divider has zero flex. The lid is also made in a way that stops the plastic walls from bending. Not sure if I can post a photo - I would if I could. But, yes they are not the most flash of storage boxes, but if you have a lot of small things to store they could be useful, and price is reasonable I thought..

I personally mark them down because the label on the front doesn't come off cleanly. :-(

    • WD-40 can do a great job of removing problem labels. Also helps if you leave the plastic boxes in a sink full of warm water for a few minutes before trying to remove them, but then you have to somehow store them open until they dry out. Of course with 40 of them, it might be more trouble than it's worth.

    • Maybe mine is a crappier version of these then, quite possible :) they just look so similar

  • once when Raspberry Pi was hot and short in supply, I ordered two from them to get free shipping,
then they only ships one to me after about 2 months, and charged me freight, because one is not good for free
shipping. And they don't even ask me if I want to cancel it if I can only get one instead of 2.

    • That must have been a while ago. I ordered one recently, got free shipping and it arrived the next day.

      • I ordered mine when the B was fist released, came the next day as well so perhaps an Isolated incident? Ordered a Pi and a Case for it, came as two packages but both were the next day.

    • I've had deliveries split up with element14 before and they never charged me extra. Their returns/warranty process is pretty great too, they send you all the stuff you need to courier it back free of charge and will send you replacements before they receive the return with a preauth, again with no added freight charges

  • out of stock now :(
