So what if I combined it? Since that post got 50 votes, I would assume some were considering the purchase of that TV so this post would have perhaps persuade them with the ~$100 discount.

Clearly only a minority of people would realise that there was a $90 price drop if this deal wasn't posted. Since this deal was posted, there would be greater exposure.

I personally think there IS some value in posting a combined deal - the issue is, where do you stop ?!? :p
The advantage is that if people search for the best price of the device, the search won't combine the two deals…
A post like this will provide the new price point for now and highlight it for people, but also provide the new price into the future if people want to see if they are getting it at the best possible historical price :-)

Quite a few DSE deals tonight should probably all been marked as dupes. But it's Saturday evening, Moderators didn't receive any reports and by the time we looked at it they are already on the front page.

I reported it when it have been posted but when I saw the out come decided to not bother myself with the rest.
I am not saying they are not good deals, but they are kind of dupes. why not just update the original deal with the new price and added the code?
I posted a deal couple of days ago have been marked as dupe while the prices are different. the mod said its not much only $10 and saving 2% of the original deal. its kind of the same thing. its not personal or something like that but most of the page DSE deals which I saw before and I am not interesting on, I don't want to hide DSE or op deals because they may post a good deals or something I am interesting on.
Even Scotty thinks they are dupes…
Not to mention, a few of us got the same TV for $673 last December. Although this is cheapest atm, but it is still so much more expensive.
