    There a quite a few reviews on Philips own website mentioning that the chopper unit fails easily.

      Hopefully that's only a small percentage,… Luckily you do seem to get standard 2 years warranty with it according to the support tab on the same link.

        Yep my chopper unit failed the way they connect the drive shaft to the blade in the chopper is only glue and a non effective gear type system. Other than that the rest works a treat. I paid over$100 a few years ago from HN
