Can vouch for the powerline kit. Grabbed on of CoTD for $50 when they had it up around Xmas, so this is definitely a good deal imo. Easy to set up and had good success streaming hi def films to the TV in the lounge. Just a reminder to those purchasing one that it can't be plugged in to a power board, it has to go in to a wall socket on its own. That's what the instructions say anyway, didn't bother trying to test it.
Typically with powerline kits, you can run them off a power board, but your throughput will drop significantly.
For best results, direct to the wall socket is recommended, but I've run them off power boards, extensions and double plug adapters.
The main problem with powerboards (and the reason why they put it on the pack) is that Surge Arresting powerboards significantly affect performance.
Yeah I got a 1-to-1 kit and I ages ago and am now looking enviously at the packs with switches now. Would save me having to plug in another switch for the lounge room :P

Should do, but it'll slow your other devices to the AV200 standard.
Rep, where does it say on the promotion that it's a one day only sale? It says available Tuesday 11/3 and limited time but it does not specifically state it's only for that one day. I took it to mean will become available from that date.
