Fisher & Paykel 5KG Dryer DE50F56E1 $395 @2ndsWorld ($355.50 Masters Price Guarantee) RRP $549

70

Had been nagged by the wife to get her a new dryer and with the wet weather this week (Sydney) I thought I'd give in. I took advantage of the 10% price guarantee offer from Masters to get them to bring it down to $355.50 and used the WISH gift card 5% off offer I bought from Entertainment Book to bring it down further to $337.75. Also purchased the gift card using AMEX to get max points.

*You could also do the same for DE40F56A2 $304 at Masters
which is $299 at 2nds World
**Reviews for this machine aren't that great but I am taking a chance as majority of the negative reviews are saying it was DOA.

  • Dryer is an appliance is it not?
Therefore making it ineligible for price-match?

    • +1

given googoogaga took advantage of so many price reduction tactics, he/she also took advantage of the fragile staff member who has no idea about the policy

It doesn't say anything about not applying to appliances here.. maybe they changed it

  • Wow… a bit of rain and the price goes up by $30 in a month:

interestingly, the rrp has also gone up.

  • Pretty Sure Masters does not match Seconds World. I have been advised on earlier occasion that since seconds world advertises that they sell things either dented, refurbished or out of box, they would not price match.

    • there is "SUPA BUY" which are new products, more expensive than the second hand items

      • No harm in trying at your local Masters, you never know :)

    • As long as it wasn't a factory second or carton damaged stock then they will price match

  • If its a factory second I don't think they will price match brand new one in perfect condition.

Had been nagged by the wife to get her a new dryer

Because of course she is the only one in the house who needs dry clothes (?!)

    • There's always one….

Maybe the OP is a lady? Don't jump to conclusions either.

      • Who said the OP was a male?

    • We already have a dryer that works. She liked the functions of this one and wanted it, I wouldn't say we need a new one as the old one works. Didn't mean to offend

      • So it was actually a dryer just for her, cos you already have your own?
        Unreserved apologies, my fault.

    • did your husband let you on the computer???
