yeah that is odd the PS4 should be cheaper. Maybe they are betting people will pay the higher price anyway?
My guess is the Titanfall thing is a Microsoft promotion so they've been given some codes to give with consoles, whereas the PS4 deal is a DSE thing where they're bringing the price of the game down to $50. Just spitballing though.
Add the other games listed into this deal. Infamous Second Son at $69.98 after $10 off preorder is a good deal, I haven't even checked the other deals. Same thing happened last year with GTA V at Dicksmith and that was successful.
Good price for local stock. However, I think we should be able to get them as digital download codes from Amazon once they are released? Usually you can save some money getting them off Amazon as digital download.

Yes, just a basic US PSN account. Can be created within minutes. I had one since PS3 since they usually have all the games cheaper than what we pay here.

so, what is the deal with the $10 off preorder?
Technically, the current catalog (http://catalogues.dicksmith.com.au/offer/ps3-games/thief/4xl…) says "$10 DEPOSIT + $10 OFF", and the next catalog says its $69.98… so if I preorder now, does that mean its $59.98? or am I missing something?

Ps4 version is around $55 at blockbuster.com.au, wait time can be 7-15 days from release. With no multiplayer there is no real need to have thief 4 day one.
Also early reports are not great regarding game play, this game had a very unsettled development cycle and its looking as if the final product does not reach the standards set by previous thief games.
Multiplayer doesn't factor into whether i need a game day one. Most games i'm just too impatient to wait the 1-3 weeks for a site like blockbuster to send to me.
If worried about the quailty of the game, it's probably best to price match DS at EB so you can return it for a full refund if it ends up being crap.

Dick smith can b unreliable with preorders on day one.
Eb games are 95% reliable on preorders ( if u get there a day late the preorder content may have runout or 'didnt receive enuf special editions' etc.
