I've always wanted to know how to use these modules. Does anyone have a tutorial, etc?
You'd need to be playing around with those embedded micro platforms like Arduino, RPi, etc. There would be tutes on how to interface peripherals in those communities.

Just be careful when you buy these, the cheap HC-SR04's are solid ultrasonics but I have found make sure that you purchase a few spares because quite often you get a few DOA's other than that I wouldn't use them beyond 300cm and even then for best results I'd let it timeout after 150cm (doesn't work with woollen surfaces either). For more accurate range finding, I'd consider using say the Sharp IR Proximity sensors.
The detection distance of our item is 2cm-450cm.
If you find that it cannot work well beyond 300cm, please kindly have a check of the soldering of the detector, or if the detector has been broken by careless.
