Just got a pair for the GF….been looking for these for awhile..and I managed to get the 52mm size + 20% huge thanks OP

    • Whats the Code for 20% off??

      • +2

Follow this link and subscribe to amazon fashion emails to receive your 20% off unique code.

        • Thanks.

        • Cheers, $81.62 including deliver with %20 off code :)

  • why cant I get amazon items shipped to my address? Im in Fitzroy, Melbourne. this has happened a few times now

  • I get a message "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase". Anyone else getting this?

    • did you enter it with the dash as it was in the email ? mine worked just fine.

      • It worked on my 5th attempt, not sure why as I was just cut and pasting from my email. All good now.

  • 52mm or 55mm? Not sure which one to get? Is the 'normal' size the 55mm?

    • +1

Get the 55mm unless you have a really small face.

      • That would be the answer…my GF has a tiny face so the 52mm is a must for her…also for the Aviators…been hunting a deal on a 52mm aviator for her

    • I ended up changing from 52mm to 55mm polarized and I have a smallish face (usually overwhelmed by large glasses). Unless you face is super petite go with the 55mm. The lenses are very small on the 52mm and don't provide a huge deal of protection.

I will admit I hardly wear these anymore - sounds snobby but they have become too common and are on every second teenager.

      • It says the lens are non-polarized?

        • These ones on this deal won't be polarized. Polarized are more expensive.

  • How does it compare to Wayfarer Original? — Original's only $13 more; but wondering how does RB2132 compare with RB2140.

The New Wayfarer is less angled, better suited for those that have a low nose bridge (better for asian faces - yes I am asian) there is also a slight difference in shape that most wont notice.

  • Thanks OP!

  • There are alot of reviews complaining they recieved fakes, should we be concerned ?

    • Make sure they are fullfilled and shipped from Amazon.

    • +1

They probably bought it from a seller and not Amazon. This one is being sold by Amazon, absolutely no reason to worry

      • +1

I'm not so sure if that is accurate. You should read the comments section with Verified purchases from Amazon.com as a seller.

FAKE Ray-Bans purchased from Amazon as teh seller
By zeesaw on October 30, 2012
        Amazon Verified Purchase
I purchased the Ray-Ban RB2132 52mm sunglasses from Amazon last week. As I read some reviews that some individuals were receiving a fake pair of Ray-Bans, I decided to purchase the sunglasses from "Amazon.com" as the seller. Thinking that I would be safe from receiving counterfeit sunglasses from Amazon's warehouse, I felt confident in my purchase. However, I was very wrong. When I received the sunglasses and opened the packaging, I knew immediately that these sunglasses were fake. Namely due to the following reasons:

        1) No Ray-Ban logo on the right and left temples of the sunglasses.
        2) On the inside temple it said, "Made in China".
        3) The lenses were cheap plastic lenses, and I purchased the "polarized lenses".
        4) The sunglasses for larger than 55mm, not the 52mm that I ordered.

Be wary when ordering these sunglasses from Amazon.com!

        • +1

I haven't faced any such issues of fakes being sent by Amazon. Their customer service is excellent, you can still cancel your order and get refund if you feel that they might be fake.

        • +1

I purchased a pair of RayBan Aviator's for myself a while back and they are defniitely genuine. Hence I have no issue making this order.

  • Just a quick question for everyone:

Is this for Women only or Unisex?

  • I dont even need new sunglasses, but bought them anyway >.<

  • so any asians here bought it yet? i got a fake pair of RB wayfarers 55mm and i found them HUGE so i bought the 52mm.. hoping i did the right thing haha

    • I think these are the Asian nose friendly, but the 2140 originals leave a huge gap above your eyes. You'll notice the angle of the lens to the ear thingy is 90degrees, but the 2140s have like an 80 degree.

  • I brought the 52mm ones as i have a small face.
Worst case they look bad/too small and i sell them. No real loss, prob profit from it.
However i would much rather they fit/look good.

    Thanks

  • Excellent stuff!
Just got my sunnies stolen as well.

  • They real or fakes? I keep reading in the comments / reviews on Amazon that some people think they are good knock offs?

    • +2

Sold and shipped by Amazon = 100% real ,
sold and shipped by any other seller on Amazon = check the sellers reviews ratings blah blah

  • Got it for usd 70 with fashion coupon. Not sure how you got it for aud81 before coupon which is what description says. Still happy camper.

    • At check out it says AUD $81.62 delivered with fashion coupon applied… So 62c dearer then title. Still a happy camper though.

  • Thanks op! Been hunting for one of these.

  • What they worth here Locally ?

  • It says it's prescription ready, but does anyone know a good place in aus to have prescription done on them? Can anyone recommend? Ta.

    • Bought one, and looking to do the same. Reglazing in AU is a rip-off in-stores. Saw some UK sites that offer with return mail but unsure if they would cater to the Australian market.

  • Where did you enter the discount code.
I entered it in gift card code but didn't accept it

damnit don't want the green lens :/

There are reports in the comments section where this pair might be a fake :( Just read it after I hit the buy button.

hmm i think i will take a pass on this one

    • +1

You can simply cancel your order which I just did it.

      • after reading more from comments some people got real ones some people got fake ones. if its fake apparently you can return and they send you out a new one. so lets see what happens

        • I'd rather just buy from a shop. It has the added benefit of keeping jobs in Australia too.

        • I ended up buying mine from a local shop and I am glad I did.
I have a large head and I found that the wayfarers design didn't fit well around the shape of my head and felt like they would fall off.
The shop used special glasses heating machine to bend the arms of the sunglasses to correctly fit my head shape.
Unless you try them on you wouldn't know about this..

  • I need 60+mm, it's so hard to find :(

  • +1

I just canceled my order too. i Dont want fakes

  • Got it for AUD $79 cause I paid with USD currency. Amazon exchange currency rate is more expensive than my bank rate. Save $2, thanks.

  • Yer I think ill skip this now, don't wanna go through the hassle of fake ones

  • +1

Where can I get some decent Sunglasses (good UV protection) which are not made by Luxottica and are well priced?

  • This ought to be better than the Bali special Ray Bangs… I think?

  • +8

I wouldn't worry about receiving a counterfeit product, Amazon is reputable and minor differences in product details could easily be indicative of different production runs/facilities rather than anything dodgy. Furthermore, their customer service is excellent so if you're not satisfied for whatever reason they will almost certainly be able to help you.

    • this post should be up the top so people dont waste their time reading other peoples comments about maybe it might possibly be slightly different from a stock image from rayban therefore its fake

      • +1

Looking at the pics someone posted above my legit Ray Bans match every detail of their authentic ones on the right side. I would be very concerned if I got the ones on the left from Amazon, there is a definite difference…

How not to be unique…wear Rayban Wayfarers.

Get some real sunglasses, try Maui Jim

    • +3

How not to be unique… own an iPhone or Samsung.
      Get a real phone, try a Blackberry…
Hmmm, actually no, sometimes it's not better to be unique. Your argument is invalid, Sir.

    • +2

      I don't understand the comment.
You're not contesting quality, looks, brand rep, function, customer service or repairs on these sunglasses… Just the damn commonness of them?
Most people have personalities that extend past their eyewear.

While we're taking shallow jabs. Maui Jim? Really?
Guess I can be condescending too and look down on your post through my Akira Isogawa sunglasses.

      Any who, great find OP.

  • Bought two sunnies. Blue & Tortoise (price in Australia just for this one - 150$). Thank you.

  • Cool, ordered a(nother) pair. $16 discount with the e-mail subscription. How many Ray-Bans can an Ozbargainer own?

    • One is already one too many.
