Humax HDR-7500T (500GB PVR) $278 @ Domayne AUBURN (NSW)

30

I was looking for a cheap but functional PVR when I came across the Humax HDR-7500T, I decided that it ticked most of my requirements and then went shopping for it. HN was the cheapest at $318 and wouldn't come down any further so I decided to check out Domayne at Auburn and it was ticketed at $278. Anyone have an opinion on price vs this product or is there something better for that price range ?

  • Well I paid $ 259 for mine in the boxing day sale events at Harvey Norman. They had it wrapped up with a WIFI doggle for free.
Then from ICE TV you can buy a life time subscription for $ 99 for it.. ( Lifetime is 5 years )

    • I thought you had to purchase the device off IceTV to get the $99 lifetime deal?

  • +2

    Personally I'd go with a Topfield for $10 more…

The recordings aren't encrypted, so you can transfer them to any other device.
It will playback a whole bunch of different formats from a USB drive.
It has an ethernet connection and a web UI to access it.
Record up to 4 streams at once (2 per MUX).
Support for 3rd party TAPs to expand the functionality.
You don't need ICE TV, you can do Season Passes from the FTA EPG.
(and do them even better with the Autoscheduler TAP)

  • Been that price for a long time.

  • questions go in the forums… bargains go in the deals sections…

seems like a decent enough price though.
