          wow now thats service :P
and you didnt even have to pay for it :D

  • Are these just expensive fans?

    • no not just a fan… they are air multipliers… :P for best effect stand behind one and fart…

Short answer, yes. You would buy one if you wanted to stay on top of 'cutting edge' and/or 'look at me' type technology but apart form the obvious sleek design I personally believe there's no functional difference between these and a standard $10 pedestal fan.

Clever? Absolutely… but not clever enough to justify the 20+ times difference in price for me. Got pets then forget these as there is still a fan in the base and that fan needs to collect air and does so via the pin holes in the cover and it has been reported that those with pets find that they have to continually keep cleaning the hair from these intake holes to keep the velocity of air up. Sure, pet hair on the blades of a standard fan can't be good either BUT it takes a lot of build up to reduce air flow of a standard $10 fan.

As per most Dyson products, they've been designed, built & marketed extremely well but unfortunately real-life scenarios can very quickly debase their entire mantra/ethos. Bagless vacuums are obviously a great concept but what happens to those who suffer asthma when it comes time to empty the dust collector? My standard bagged Nilfisk vacuum cost far less than the Dysons at the time and is still working as well as it did the day we bought it…. 15+ years ago!

Each to their own. My 2c ;)

  • 2nd world's website down or what??? its best to price match and buy from dj or hn..bit dodgy but works…

    • will they also be putting in a ding or scratch to match it!

  • Anyone tried these fans before?
