I always pay things in the currency of the site. As I know they give you dodgy exchange rate when you buy in AUD.
Just saw the most extreme case for a major site.
Hugo boss men's underwear 35pounds or $70.96 AUD
That's more than 2 Aud for 1 pound.
The current rate is around 1.83 AUD to 1 pound.
Really miss the $1.45 days (march last year). I wonder how much the change in currency has effected their sales, or are people just ignorant of it.
