That's odd, if you like hot I'd recommend the Piri Piri or the Chilli. If no I'd recommend Honey Soy.

Are the Biltong sticks the same as the South African snapsticks, roughly 1cm wide and about 20cm long? Because in the picture they look more like steaks than sticks.
That depends on what you order, our Biltong Sticks are long thick sticks and our chunks are the same but chunked up into smaller pieces.

You also didn't comment on stock at all suggesting that you see it on your end.
If my order doesn't include the freebie then I would like to cancel it. I wouldn't have bought so much if that was the case.
On the promotion image on our website we said while stocks last. Due to the number of orders we received we still wanted to give everybody something so we added some Shredded Biltong to all of the orders with a promo code for next time.

Received the order today and didn't get the 500g free pack of jerky. I WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED if I knew about the "limited stock" term which you CONVENIENTLY omitted from this post, only to say "oh it was on the website". NEVER AGAIN Jim's Jerky. RUBBISH!
Me too! I felt cheated. Why post a deal and mislead people into buying your products under such circumstance. It just makes people see your company in a bad light. Another very disappointed customer.

Sorry about what happened to both of you. I kept an eye on this post and cancelled my order immediately after finding out, and had hoped others would have seen my neg & linked comments.
I haven't received mine yet, but I too am one of the ones who will have missed out on the 500g bonus according to an email from Jim's. I've never had their jerky before, but couldn't pass up on this offer to try and ordered on the day it was posted here. Turns out this was not just an OZBargain special, but one they also had on their facebook page, so I can see how they got so many orders. They were probably sold out before it was even posted on OzB. Sorry Jim's, but the 90g substitute and a voucher for another 90g for free if I buy again just doesn't cut it. This is the last time I will order from them. If they had done this properly, there would have been a countdown on the order page of available stock so people wouldn't have been sucked into buying something on a false premise. They never stated how many they had available, so it could have been only 10 or 20 (if any). Judging by the picture on their facebook page of all the parcels ready to go out in the post, this looks to have been a pretty successful little scam.
Not an OzBargain, I almost ordered but lucky I didn't considering how people got scammed by this trick.

Received my delivery today and like most people above did not get the 500g bonus as advertised. Replaced with a 90g bag and a promo code for another 90g bag on my next order. Not impressed with the way events turned out and will be emailing Jim's Jerky at the email the rep posted to see what further resolution is offered.
