Now that's an example on how an OzBargainer should roll.

    • Never done a price match before lol
For future reference, do you tell the staff at the counter or those just standing around?

  • How does this stuff compare in whiteness to the standard reflex paper?

    • +2

To me, the Reflex paper looks more like a 'natural' white (meaning it's relatively yellow) while the Fuji looks more like an 'artificial' white (meaning it looks a little bleached). Although both are 80gsm, I find the Fuji to feel noticeably thinner, with some uneven patches of thickness. Taking the whiteness and feel into account, I prefer the Reflex; its quality seems richer than that of the Fuji. I bought about 4 reams of Fuji, which lasted 6 months, then went back to Reflex and noticed these differences. And while we're on the subject, I find the Tudor branded paper to be very similar to Reflex.

      Its all the same…

      • You would be surprised how different it can be. Cheaper paper doesn't have the same texture or feel to it, and also when looked at side by side it can be easily noticeable. For most people and purposes this won't be an issue, but when printing a thick report and having the colour and feel of the paper change halfway through, it is very obvious and detracts from the quality of the document!

Which one is better? Laserprint or Everyday or Express ?? Thank :)

Anyone know where I can get some cheap Canon paper from?

Nevermind that. I'm too busy looking for a Reflex printer…

    • And I'm looking for some Brother paper. :) Maybe I'll settle for some brother paper and he won't notice.

    • +1

Oh no! All this time running reflex and xerox in my brother laser. I bet I have voided the warranty. What was I thinking!? Sob… sniff…

  • Given that it's a public holiday today, do you think the Coles and Woolworths catalogs will be online after 5pm tonight?

If anyone else has a paper catalog, some details of grocery specials would be appreciated.

  • Not available in South Australia. Our catalog has reflex for $4

  • They are live on the website now

    • link? looked online, and can't find it.
Only found Reflex which was $7.

Just got mine. Held it up to the sun, felt it, scrunched it, stroked it and all but licked it. Compared Xerox Professional from officeworks, reflex ultra white and this Xerox 'laserprint' type. Check with artificial light and natural sunlight.

Result: All pretty much identical in all practical ways

Same colour, same occasional spots when held to the light. Basically all really white. If anything the reflex had more imperfections against the light. The Xerox paper from officeworks was maybe super-slightly less smooth. I mean maybe just slightly. But seriously did not feel like el cheapo paper I have tried in the past with regret.

I'm pleased I got another couple of boxes.

  • Woolworths at Erindale (ACT) had plenty at $1.99 per ream when I was there last Friday night. What made me laugh was that they'd made a sign saying that it was previously $2, so you were now saving 1ยข.
