Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on PS4 and Xbox One for $69 at Target

50

This is the best local price that I've seen for "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" on PS4 and Xbox One. The sale period is unclear, since the catalogue starts and ends (23rd and 29th of January, respectively) before the game is due to be released (31st of January). Nonetheless, the game appears to be selling for $69 on release.

Update: the street date for the game has been broken, and stores will be selling it from today (29th of January) if they have stock.

the xbone version is known as the acceptable edition since it cannot run 1080/60fps unlike the ps4
    which runs the definitive edition

    xbone runs it at 30fps
ps4 only twice the fps at a low score of 60

Paying almost full price for high settings is an awful message to send Square Enix. It's a low risk option for them to trick console only owners who have an obsession with graphics yet can't afford a PC. As a PS4/PC owner I think its despicable. Perhaps if it were priced similarly to the HD collections of PS2 games it might have been more palatable. Just hope this doesn't become a trend.

Nice hair darling, you do something with it?

  • $29 on PSN+ (US) within 3 months is my guess,

    • Yeah I'm waiting it out.

    • It'll be an IGC game.

Can you please post a link or a picture of it actually showing $69 as clicking on the picture says it cannot be found in the catalogue

    • The catalogue has expired, but I believe that the game will be $69 for another week (a Target employee told me that it will most likely end on the 5th of February).
