  • your link doesn't mention 30% off.

  • Has JBHIFI stopped selling Alpine gear now? Cant see any Alpine headunits/amps/speakers etc on the website anymore!
    ??

      • I have no idea! Hhaha
Found the Alpine gear though on jbhifi.com.au! Didn't realise that Op's link was for Jbhifionline.com.au, cant see any Alpine gear in the online shop..

Worse is that the first item, Pioneer Dehx2650ui, was $62 cheaper last week.

      23 Jan: $169 - http://www.jbhifi.com.au/car-sound-gps-navigation/mp3-cd-tun…

      17 Jan: $107 - http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:f8kGFC9…

Its actually $118. You have to click on the check stock button and the discount is added. This sale is for real and this neg is a bit unjustified.

        • +1

Right, my mistake then - I thought "Prices inclusive of discount" meant the prices displayed included the supposed discount.

So, that first item is only $11.30 more expensive than last week.

It should be negged. JB Hifi are up to their usual dishonest behaviour. Same story with a Sony unit I bought in January that was not on special at the time, just as the Pioneer above was not on special. To advertise a discount the original price must be what they sold the unit for not making up new prices and then calling it a discount. That said if it is 30% off the displayed price the Sony I bought is $10 cheaper with this sale. But to play games so u can advertise 30% off instead of the real 7-8% is quite illegal here.

        • That's not entireley true. Maybe I'm wrong. Find these cheaper then $138 at a store I can drive too and pick them up and I'll believe you :P - http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/car-sound/car-speakers/jl-aud…

        • "if it is 30% off the displayed price the Sony I bought is $10 cheaper with this sale"

The currently listed prices now include the 30% discount, whereas yesterday morning they didn't. Mind saying which Sony unit your bought?

        • It is the Sony MEXBT4150UX which was $138. It is the pack with a MEXBT4150U with Car vac and phone holder(very ordinary quality). The App Remote for Android seems promising but Sony seem to have forgotten about the App and most features don't work properly. Basic Control is OK and is usable. I have a support call in which Sony say I will get a response to by the end of next week.

I was going to grab another today, but if the $167.30 is with the 30% off I won't be grabbig it. Probably still worth me going and kicking up a ruckus over it and store. The ACCC make it very clear that any 2 price comparison must be off it was previously sellg for. So if I could get it $96 which is should be by law it would be a great buy.

  • I need more Doof doof doof doof

    • Chicks totally love subwoofers bro. Fully sick bro.

  • Just got the last DEH-X3550UI from Browns Plains, Queensland.

Figured it was good value and usually sells for $140-150. Means I can sell the Eclipse I currently have for $20 or so.

I did want to upgrade the headunit because the current one sucks, didn't want to spend the money but JB made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
