My girlfriend got me one of these for my birthday last year.
1) the coating rubs off, leaving scratchy looking marks.
2) it's not binary. It just shows the digits lit up with LEDs.
3) it has a tendency to reset itself if you press the button to turn on the display too hard.

OP must mean it has binary movement (ie, not mechanical movement).

Brought this for $1.80 on ebay not too long ago
The coating comes off extremely easily. It's not wearable after 2 weeks of normal use. Not worth the trouble.
As noted, cheaper on ebay.
