  • Wow!! Awesome price for a great set of headphones =)

I payed $270 for mine about 5 years ago and they are still around that price at many online stores..

  • Excellent price for a great pair of headphones! You'd be hard pressed to find these for under $200 anywhere. Thanks OP

always wanted to replace my HD25's (which i unfortunately lost!)…tempted.

but have too many other headphones (including 3-4 portables), and no real purpose for HD25 (perhaps slightly better isolation, but then i have numerous IEMs for that).

    (may come back to this…)

  • Great price, only seen the Amperiors or Adidas versions for this previously.

Nice price. Just be aware that warranty is provided by COD so these are grey imports. I didn't realise that till I just bought a Canon EOS M and read the warranty details they sent me. They claim orders can't be changed or cancelled. Very dodgy policy imo.

Sorry, I may have been too hasty in my anger. Can't say whether this is local stock or not. The cam i bought is described on website as having Canon warranty but the email states differently. My matter is still outstanding but I shouldn't be stating assumptions about these headphones.

  • How do these compare to UE6000?

    • +2

i never owned them at the same time (years apart), so can't give a direct comparison.

i think hd25 was faster and more refined with more v-shaped sound signature, ue6000 more bass heavy (although, UE6000 is relatively balanced without the noise cancellation turned on) and probably extending deeper. ue6000 probably has better mids too.

i would think hd25 is better for rock music and the like, UE6000 probably better for hip hop and bass heavy music (or if you're a basshead like me).

hd25 would have better passive isolation (without UE6000 noise cancelling turned on), but not sure how they would compare against UE6000 with noise cancelling.

hd25 feels much sturdier, and all parts a replaceable. UE6000 has removable cable, but you can't even replace the pads. so for a pair of beater headphones, to throw in your backpack, HD25 would be the better option. although, UE6000 does fold up for portability (HD25 doesnt).

oh, and HD25 are obviously supraaural/on-ears, with high head clamp. some find them uncomfortable, and can get quite hot on the ears. UE6000 are circumaural and are quite comfortable.

both great headphones for the prices you can get them.

FYI, i had HD25 probably 5 years ago. i have the UE6000 and UE9000 now (amongst others). i loved my HD25 at the time (they were my first decent headphones), and as i mentioned i'm tempted to get a replacement pair just for old times sake…but i feel they will just be a little bit too thin for my sound preferences compared to my other headphones. still highly recommend them as a headphone tho!

  • How do these compare to UE6000?

  • That is a seriously good price for an outstanding pair of headphones..

  • Seriously good price, but I don't trust COTD one bit… I wonder where they could have sourced these from to be able to sell it for that price?

    • They often have great Sennheiser prices, I'm concerned as well given the amount of high grade Sennheiser fakes there are from China.

      • Yeah, I have seen a couple from China (or elsewhere) myself and it is pretty much impossible to tell cosmatically. Good luck to everyone who bought it though!

  • great price, this deal should have way more up votes

  • Im surprised they are not sold out already!

Id get them but I just bought the Beyerdynamic DT990 PRO and and I have a pair of Philips Oneill stretch which are close to these just not quite as good… :p

  • It appears they are sold out now. I took the plunge and ordered one, hope it turns out good. :)

  • ordered this and the z523 but worried that they will be dodgy.. this site doesn't have the best reputation lol

  • Sold out!

  • Great price for a great set of headphones. Too bad my 10 year old set is in as new condition. I recommend getting the velour earpads for extended use, the pleather ones tend to get a bit sweaty.

  • anyone received theirs yet and can comment on the quality?

i got mine and its already been opened..
